Trokair
Would it make sense for only some of us to take the lift up to get the message out to Locke, so to lighten the load on the lift so it can go faster? Lysimachus
Might be best if all of us get out of here while we can? That way we might survive, even if Damocles still goes up? I've worked out about 8.5kg of stuff Reynard will drop, so we're almost halfway to the maximum 20kg +20 mins already? Necronaut
Scourge's trademark crusader helm is 2kg, plus his dagger and laspistol (which never got used) together are another 2kg, for 4kg total. The rest of his kit is... Priceless? Abandoning any of the rest of his equipment (armor, boltgun, daemonhammer) would easily push us over the threshold, and Scourge would possibly do it, save that he probably views most or all of them as holy artifacts. A.T.
Falks shield and handcannon save around 9 kg. Can ditch the lascutter as well but we might still need it. Also two frag grenades and a couple of dozen rounds of pistol ammunition. Edited August 2, 2023 by A.T. Necronaut
I have a lascutter for you: Hywelesbane. When one only has a hammer available, all problems start to resemble nails waiting to be driven. Mazer Rackham 1 Back to top

We are pretty much at the limit anyway - if Scourge ditches his laspistol I think that is 20kg on the nose, possibly a little over accouting for Falks pistol ammo. Necronaut
@Mazer Rackham deserves credit here too: I hadn't actually planned on giving this character a name beyond a pseudonym to facilitate better inter-party communication ("Hi, Scourge," works better narratively than "Hey, guy... Whoever you are..."), mostly under the assumption that he would die heroically sacrificing himself to defeat the forces of evil at some point. And I nearly succeeded! Trokair
Ah, I had wondered following Mazers post on Sunday (when the Golem spoke) if we had known the Penitents name, I just assumed that I had just forgotten a detail from the beginning of the story. Also placeholder post from earlier this evening updated, good luck with the accent you lot. Mazer Rackham and Necronaut 2 Back to top
Mazer Rackham
Yon scallywag had earned it. I'll pause for MG and Restal's reckonings before moving us on. I plan to finish the campaign tonight/tomorrow, and then tie everything off with an epilogue. At some point after, (possibly Friday), I'll then ask our beneficent Moderator Mr Lysimachus to close the IC thread and we'll field Q&A in this thread and do general tidy up, discussion, dissection etc. Please make sure placeholders are filled as soon as you can get to them, so everyone has a chance to read them as part of the ongoing story. Is that ok by everyone? Necronaut, Lysimachus, Machine God and 1 other 4 Back to top

I mean I did ask if we can lighten the load if some of us stayed behind, you could have devined my intention from there. Anyway I am sure Bardas will take care of anything left behind, if he dose not need to repurpose it for somethign else...
