[DH1e] The Damocles Contingency (OOC)

No rolls needed for that - I figured Bardas knows how his way around Mechanicus stuff.

You'll just be plugged into the 'collective' so to speak, so will just need to exercise caution over what you allow access to. Feel free to narrative this as you wish. Maybe you can even ask questions related to your own agendas...

Just wondering how close we are to the end of Day 1? Has anyone not eaten/drunk/rested yet? (and if Day 2 is close enough, do all of us want to stop and get it out of the way?)

Maybe it's worth visiting the market/dive bar and deciding next steps there?

Also, might be able to quietly ask around about Drexler (who I suspect must be some sort of Underhive fixer?) or the Magisters?

Since the first bit is definitely a GM query, I'll put my oar in - I think with some fudging and getting the team together, we'll call that Day 1 completed.

It has actually been a fair old while since your characters had proper rest and food, so I would now suggest finding digs and getting a good meal. Nutrient paste and sitting on the toilet reading a newspaper aren't going to cut it!

I'll pop up a map of the nearby area for you all.

Hey boss, just checking prices, going by the table on pg152 do Common Quality provisions = Low Grade, and Good Quality = Mid Grade?

If so, would Bed(5) and Breakfast(1) at the Boarding House be a total of 6 TG per person?

The +10 for the ablutions block, is that paid by each person staying, or shared cost (for like a bathroom shared by the team?)

Sorry, been too busy the last few for days to read with focus, was Bardas supposed to do anything else in the Mech enclave before the party headed out of it?

No worries bud, no, I don't think anything was needed. If you feel like going back and adding, I can always edit posts, but don't feel the need.

Question (without having checked the rulebook, as I'm out, so apologies if I'm asking something daft!)

We have just had our end-of-gaming-session restore of FP, right?

So do we get any more XP to spend? (I may be way off, but I thought that is also usually done at the end of each gaming session...?)

The outrageous temerity!

Asking your GM for XP? What is this? D&D?

You are quite correct, but I'm going to be annoying and say you can spend XP when you get your head down. I was going to close the Session formally and then do all the XP etc, but I didn't want to stop people from posting narrative, so when you all head off for bed, I'll tidy everything up.

Yes, all FP's are restored, and that's immediate, as gameplay continues.

Yep, that's fine.

I may repost with vision cones to report LOS, we'll see:cool:

@Machine God Not sleepy? I should think not! Any chance to enhance one's vocabulary and linguistic skills should always be treated with excitement! There's learning afoot!

Spoiler

Algie's Bra is not an item of female clothing...

Just to check where everyone is before making any response to latest post...?

Reynard is in his cell, keeping watch

Scourge is also at boarding house, sleeping already (but Reynard could wake him if there is about to be trouble that affects us?)

Falk is on watch, but I'm not quite clear where and what he is watching?

Bardas and Nicios are still in the market, right?

Restal is doing... something(???) undisclosed to the rest of us... in the Wrack?

Don't know where Stitches is, here's me hoping he's not inside the Grox and whatever is about to happen?

Also, just for clarity, is it the two guys that went into the bar that had their pockets stuffed with shells, or was it the people in the market who are arming up in response to the two guys being there?

That's a GM query - I cleaned it up a little with a few words. The blokes with bags are the same ones from the market bombing up.

Watching the mechanicus facility that we exited from - either from the window (if the view is available) or a suitable distance.

The view is indeed available.

EDIT: LOS map is up. Note that the hive construction slopes away and down, so you could smash out the windows and slide down it, but there is a 3m drop, so while Falk can see the Mechanicum door (it's huge that should it open, it will be obvious by both sight and feel - and you haven't felt it open since it closed behind you) and he could see anyone leaving it, anyone deliberately keeping low and hugging that wall facing the market wouldn't be seen from the windows.

However, you do have two agents in the Market, and they would certainly see anyone being furtive etc.

Hope this helps.

Spoiler

What happens in the Wrack, stays in the Wrack... ;)

Okay, everybody's probably noticed that I've been barely active with Stitches for a while now. Since Uni's started back up for me I haven't had much time or motivation to contribute to the game, and it's probably not fair to leave the rest of you hanging with only sporadic interjections. As much as I'm fond of Stitches and his antics, I'm going to have to say that I'm at the very least on hiatus from the game.
