I'll leave Nicios' decision up to the dice, as I have no real preference on going either way (I can see the benefits of both). 01-50 go with Restal/Reynard, 51-00 go to try to get Aldario. Best out of three rolls gets it.

Rolls are - 57, 28, 73

Looks like Nicios votes to go get the traitor rather than the mark. Duty over greed I suppose, which actually fits his character.

Am I wrong in assuming that all 3 got taken by the ambushers? (Based on our current assessments, I thought they were taken back to this medical facility somewhere within House Canthus territory?)

But yep, we'll try to get the team some extra cash (we'll share it out with everyone!) while you guys chase down Kraevus? Then we can meet up back at the (hopefully repaired) hauler and head into Canthus?

I'll streamline and clear up, since we have a lot of plot threads threatening to tangle, (a by-product of having to talk in Psyker-vision, when information is described more by feeling than fact) but it can be easily deduced from poking some spaceport workers what happened to the lander:

  • Stitches and Scourge returned to the lander in the spaceport
  • The lander was ambushed by a group of 'nondescript' men
  • This group of men caused the lander to explode/wreck
  • A group of pilgrims intervened, drove the men off, and took the casualties to an Ecclecsiarchy hospice for sick pilgrims and those seeking travel respite
  • This hospice is within the Upper Hive
  • You will receive several reports of a big or huge man with the pilgrims.

I just expected a few more questionings, so left it vague for the whole enquiring minds thing.

Oh, derp.

I had clearly misread the situation. I thought the pilgrims were the attackers (disguised and led by Greyson) and they carried off our guys back to the med centre that we have the card to enter.

I am now clear. In that case, yep we can see if we can find them too!

Also in that case, is the big guy with the pilgrims Kel's PC?

Know the feeling. Although in my case, application of soothing cream takes the sting out.

Originally, I'd planned for that, but I think Kel has bowed out, so I have a Plan B I've been looking to shoehorn into this campaign. As you're aware, Kel is tied to Locke, so in turn, you can infer (without me admitting anything), these pilgrims are related to that plotline.

Sobek is planned to turn up at the spaceport in a transport (The Voivode) provided by your generous benefactors, but if the lad is busy I can stall, and we can introduce him at a swanky cocktail lounge up-hive...where several offers will be made....

If that bit of trickery goes too far beyond the haggling you already allowed, GM, Reynard will of course pay up the full 50TG... just saw an opportunity with the bag and thought it would be a very Reynard way to handle it!

Falk and Nicios burst in - literally - to the gunshop.

Kraevus turns to is henchman. "My God, what does the scanner say about their cholesterol level?"

"It's over 9,000!"

@Lord_Ikka Any thoughts on an approach?

Perhaps a few hundred more burgers and waddle in through the front door impervious to gunfire? :p

Hmm. I can think of three-

1 Both go through the front, straight-on. Possibly stupid, but easiest and most normal as far as keeping everything calm to start.

2 Both go through the tunnels. Best chance of carching someone off-guard, but could get lost or lose the target while trying to reach the shop.

3 Split up, one going throigh the front and the other tunnels. The usual problems with splitting up as far as coordination, but possibly having an edge if things go south.

I prefer 3, with Nicios in the tunnels ready to burst in and spasm people if Falk needs help, but any of the three seems suitable.

Sorry everyone! Had some family business that came up. I will get a post up before I go to bed tomorrow. I assume I am bringing the Voivode to the spaceport, or do I need to set down somewhere else?

Yes mate, that's fine, park that sucker.

Hope all is well and calm with the family.

Just to make sure I've got it clear in my head, in the bunker there are:

Us three

2 Bartenders (male and female)

3 men and Hostess at the wheel

Tarkan

Unidentified guest

? Men with guns (how many? Is there any way to know if they are all club staff, or are some guards for the guests, like Restal is pretending to be?)

Just trying to work out if it's worth trying to shoot Tarkan immediately, if he's under the influence and out of it...? Probably not...

Two. EDIT: Forgot to say, yes, on closer inspection (the light is dim) they would appear to be club staff.

So what you saing is that in my next story post (hopefuly when I get home tonight) Bardas should be extra paranoid?

Yesn't.

Just a general note for players: once we have resolved the immediate dilemmas and choices, we will then close Act I.

We're headed for the end-game, people. Congrats on living this far.

I'm just writing a post to go with Initiative Roll.

Just to check - has everyone gone squiffy or is it just the staff? Una? The other visitor? The 3 gamers?

Only one man is unaffected - the robed fellow.

Everyone else - including Restal - will be squiffy, as the narcotic is both airborne, and transdermal. It's appropriate for the sensate mad Slaneeshi. Go ahead and roll your Init, I'll build around you as normal.
