Lovely stuff, Reynard will take:

1.

2. Silent Move for 100xp (ridiculous that it's only just become available at Rank 4, but it might be useful for sneaking around to see what Drexler is up to?)

@Lysimachus - that's because Reynard is Scum! An outcast living on his wits.

Whereas Kerr Restal picked up Silent Move at 1st Level. He can also learn Bolt weaponry at Level 4, but you have to wait for Level 5.

Reynard is a People Person and to quote another Assassin:

"Personality goes a long way!"

May I humble petition our almighty GM for a Meltagun for Bardas to melt down any golem entities he might encounter, and the ability to purchase Basic Weapon Training (Melta) early, it is normally a level 5 talent for the Tech-Priest line.

Should maybe have sent a PM.

By the way does Bardas have a spare 4000 Thrones.

Well the Bolt stuff was broached pretty much in the open, as few other bits were, so it's fine.

He'd only need a PM if he was being devious. Not being devious are you, Tro?

I'm up for being devious, especially if it involves maiming. After that, it's a sliding scale.

Have I broken some etiquette here? If so my apologies and do please explain.

And no he does not have 4000 Thrones, hence why I am petitioning for GM benevolence, otherwise I would have just tried to buy it.

Also story wise Bardas has reason to believe that there is at least one in the Arbites armoury, none of the Lawmen said there was not one when he asked for one to be fetched to slag the Mecha Rubric Sister before Lord Locke stepped in.

Me? Never! I think, maybe... can I get back to you on that?

That being an oversight on my reply there, but yes a meltagun would have been available to destroy Battle Streisand Sister.

*steeples fingers*

@Mazer Rackham & @Trokair - Sorry.

I'm the one that has put his foot in it again.

I can see your openness in the asking the GM here in the OOC.

I'm the devious one that normally asks those sorts of questions over PM. Maybe there were some PM's about Valkyrie's Power Armour.

Yes maybe with Scourge getting the PA and Bolter and Falk getting big guns, Bardas getting a Meltagun isn't so much of a stretch.

It's that we had to sell our kit and use Party Funds to buy the new kit from the Quarter Master.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kerr Restal had 50 XP unspent which he added to the 350 and purchased:

Mighty Shot.

Tech-Use. (Will talk to Bardas IC in Part II for that)

Don't sweat it, some folks PM, others don't.

On the Melta, I'm going to have to think. Falke's mega shotty was 400 TG of kit, and he traded stuff out for the ammo and bobs. There is a Melta Cutter, which is a Meltagun but only 10m range as opposed to 20m.

That's 600 TG. Inquisitor's Handbook, I believe.

For the cost of a meltagun you could get 80 krak grenades that each do the same damage, give or take.

(Falk was tempted by the auxiliary grenade launcher as he has access to the talent - but it seemed a little much :p )

Of course the greatest of all weapons is the mis-printed twin autogun on page 340 of the core book (early printings only) - which is kind of like a meltagun, if a meltagun had a range of 90m and a rate of fire of 20...

Aaargh!

The waiting until the 2nd of April will be a torment.

I will stay with the twin Las Carbines with Overcharge Packs

I will not think about selling them for a pair of Hand Cannons with a Red Dot Sight and Fire Selectors filled with Man-Stopper Rounds.

The Power Armour discussion started as a semi-curios question from me if it was in any way salvageable, and that had been in a GM only spoiler just in case it was completely of the book and such.

Mazer then made a Faustian offer, which I was considering if Bardas would be inclined to go for it or not. Some story progression happened and a small incident with possession left me thinking that it would not be a thing, only for Lord Inquisitor to appear and take the Faustian out of the bargain.

So I went for it, but I would not have been surprised if the tests to do the work failed. Offering it to Scourge was a spur of the moment in character moment, and I think MR made a second Faustian offer to Necro.

Think as needed, and if it is not an option that’s fine. I was just looking at what to get at Level 4 and saw Basic Weapon Training (Flamer) and thought Bardas would be more inclined to a melta. Also I did not know meltas where that expensive!

I heard it was so illegal, anyone even asking for one opened a portal for the GM to go back and slap them as a baby.

EDIT: the thing about the power armour and bolter is that they were 'battlefield pickups' and cost a lot of time and effort to actually get into play. A Godwyn is 1k TG on it's todd, but there were cost offsets in ammunition. And yes, I do love a good Faustian bargain.

Bardas will have an easier time justifying the Melta Talent though - since if Tro goes for the cutter, it's a tool, and could easily be learned from one of the Techies he's interfaced with.

If Bardas is investigating the Gladius, a melta cutter seems a very reasonable requisition item for opening bulkheads... if he uses it on bad guys too, that's just good time management!

Of course, if we do all load up for killing AV, you know we'll find ourselves swamped by chaos cultist Hordes instead...

That's why I'm staying with the Las Carbines.

The great thing about melee weapons is they don't run out of ammo. Rip and tear responsibly, lads.

Nicios will level up some psyker abilities (decided to go for the Scholar Materium path) and add Medicae skill to become the group's default healer, since he can now heal via Warp powers and normal cutting. Hmm, might need to get a medikit when Nicios gets some cash...

Anyway XP spent (50 left over):

-200XP Psy Rating 3 (gain Distort Vision, Fearful Aura, and Staunch Bleeding minor powers)

    * Telepathy Discipline unlocked (gain Terrify Psychic Power)

-100XP Medicae Skill trained

Reynard will happily pay for that and be very glad to have a team medic again! Will take the 150 off my stash!

Edit: Just remembered to do a Barter roll for that, but got a 72. So no discount! To be fair, medical gear is probably in pretty high demand at the mo...
