TCC
Yes sound like it would. But if you want to be 100% leave an officer in their to shoot it - only takes 1 model to shoot (with current rules). TechCaptain
There is a reason the whole codex is not considered tourney legal until it has a separate drop outside the box according to GW. mertbl
Don't think the lasgun array still needs a guy in it in the new book. Inquisitor_Lensoven
I lean towards no it wouldn’t, they’re completely separate weapons with separate statlines. something that I think definitely needs a FAQ released on Black Friday. edit since threads merged. this post is about parade drill and if it effects hotshot lasguns or not. duz_
Setting up this thread to consolidate any initial FAQs about the new book. sairence
The FAQ sadly won't come on Black Friday, I don't think, as this stuff tends to be linked the general codex release usually. That'll likely happen early January, then followed by an initial FAQ 2-3 weeks later. So I wouldn't realistically expect that until the start of February. The Pounder
Could anyone please let me know if the new Master of Ordinance buffs all keyword artillery? Or just the codex guns? Command phase means its prob going to be very hard to set up Doesn't sound great Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/376574-9th-ed-codex-early-rules-questions/#findComment-5885622 Share on other sites

Inquisitor_Lensoven
Another FAQ that I think will be necessary. the wording for Kasrkin traits doesn’t make any sense to me, as it implies every Kasrkin squad would need a separate 3rd trait from each other Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/376574-9th-ed-codex-early-rules-questions/#findComment-5885906 Share on other sites

sairence
Pretty sure the Kasrkin rule states that a squad can pick any extra doctrine that no other unit in your army has. That would by definition include any other Kasrkin squad. Yep, this is correct, but people shouldn't get carried away, ten t3 models with a 4+ save will just be swept away after they have a shooting phase. And it makes sense if your aim is to make each of these special forces units feel unique, instead of instantly openening up the door to rules exploits by spamming something.
