How to best use the Chaos Predator Annihilator?

• Legion?
• Which stratagems are worth throwing out?
• Any solid unit combos?

I could see a trio of Iron Warriors Chaos Predator Annihilators babysat by a Warpsmith being a pretty cheap and durable anti tank for your army.

First, I like that it's T8 now, and the extra damage for the Soulshatter turret is nice -- I haven't used it on a Predator, mind you, but I do like my Land Raider and that has two such lascannon sets.

 

As for which Legion does it best, the IW of course get first pass as the most vehicle-centric Legion.  From then on, I really feel like the Alpha Legion does it next best.  It has the range to sit back and pump out lascannon shots while maintaining the 18" distance from enemy anti-tank guns to keep the -1 to hit trait active.

I've used my Night Lords Predator Annihilator in about 6 or so games. It's a fun unit that does well in casual games. In tournaments opponent's armies are so shooty that the Pred is dead by Turn 2. It sure is faster than it used to be in previous editions, which is nice.

 

Soulshatter Cannons can do good work. And, if I remember to do so, I like to buff my Predator "Deathbat" with Prescience and I try to use her on flanks so that she can only be seen by the enemy. 

 

Most of the time my opponent remembers the T8 because I'm not used to it yet. :)
