WH40k game Farsight (+Arks of Omen/Boarding Patrol)

I'm getting really strong gundam wing tallgeese vibes considering the back boosters of the model. Which just reinforces the whole gundam nod the tau have for me.

Joking aside, I absolutely love the model. I have always wanted to collect a small T'au force and Farsight doesn't really fit with the theme I had in mind, but the model is stunning. I may get this Patrol and keep it on the back-burner because I can always make use of the Fire Warriors and Crisis Suits and the Farsight model will be an awesome display piece even if not used in-game.

You could probably make Farsight into a kickass unnamed Commander quite easily.

Yeah, i agree. Never were a fan of the crisis suits. Though we're at the point where Farsight looks so epic i feel if i did Tau i would use the Commander model kit for Crisis suits and it'd look a lot better next to the new Farsight. Could even modify the old Farsight model to be a regular crisis suit with a little more dynamism.

I'm kind of hoping they go all in and make those artifacts on Arthas Moloch things made by the Watchers in the Dark in the past, and that the symbol got inherited by Caliban later and then used for the hexagrammaton. Really would be a funny twist for the Farsight Enclaves anti-psyker stuff, similar to the Watchers for DA, to be a bit more literal.

Lovely model. Intricate detail, and very dynamic pose. Too bad it is a xeno whose only table he has a place on is my Dominus' vivisection table 

 

That being said, I wonder if this model doesn't make the existing Crisis-suits look bland, toyish or dated...

Great model, awful to release it only in a box set. Lucky that I’ve no plans to play 40K till at least 10th, so I can wait for his release alone.

 

I really think this release approach benefits nobody but scalpers - and GW too a bit I guess. I suppose there might be some relatively cheap crisis suits available for a while though.

The larger eBay sellers usually offer these things individually for a decent price.

From Reddit, someone posted a pic of the model on display at Warhammer World. Gives a bit more of a top-down view and a nice look at some of the chest and jet pack details.

@Triszin Solidly agree. A conversion with a triple-barrel plasma rifle may be in order!
