This does look awesome, but the painting steps are overkill. Drop the airbrushed GSW colorshift, as Darth Blue is fairly one-dimensional and a dark-blue tinted metallic will look about the same and be the quarter of the hassle. Drop the layering, basecoat in the "deck tan" color, do the fleshy bits with Contrast and then just use oils to get the shading.

This way you can get 99% close to this and be much, much quicker about it. And no airbrush required.
