I suspect a return to the dark days of 3rd edition where we relied heavily on Darklight to deal with Mon-Keigh heavy infantry.

Interesting to see how the trusty old Disintegrator turns out. Will it be close to the Starcannon or will it trade a couple of points of strength for higher ROF?

Agreed. Given that it’s vehicle only and we’re choosing not to take a Dark Lance for it, I am hoping for a Starcannon type weapon with maybe an extra shot? 

 

 

I also remembered ’Heat Lances’…I think they were called?

 

I wonder if once dusted off they might actually prove useful? But the problem will be balancing them against Haywire.

I suspect the balance will be Monsters. While Haywire may compete with other options for vehicle killing, it won't help against big gribblies. My hunch is you will want to keep a few high S weapons about to tackle Wraithlords, C'tan and big Nids.
