So I've heard a few more whispers from the from Warp regarding even more Space Marine models coming with the codex launch end of summer:

  • New Jump Assault Captain
  • Jump Assault Intercessors
  • New Scouts (Kill Team Boxset)
  • New Terminator Chaplain (Supposed to have a shield)

As always did a video talking about it all below but most of the core mentions are above.

Spoiler

And here I was, getting ready to convert the Terminator Librarian from the Leviathan box I snagged into a Terminator Chaplain.

Like, I will still do that. May just have to give him a shield though, huh?

I like this rumoured Terminator Chaplain. Shield and Crozius will look cool. If the Crozius does have options I do hope that one of them is some kind of morningstar.

I love the design of the BT Neophytes so new Scouts in the same style should be great. Hopefully all the killteam specialist options also have rules in 40k.

Really looking forward to the reveal of the new marines. I've got a game of combat patrol lined up at the pub tomorrow so hopefully I can help secure an Astartes victory to contribute to the battle for Oghram!

We're probably eleven days out from seeing what's what for the Marine MPK wave this year, so not much of a wait now.

All of these are units that Valrak has mentioned previously, but there are some new kit specifics in the video (one Sniper Rifle bit in the Scout box, for example).

Curious to see if this Chaplain in "Termerator" Armor ends up looking as good as it sounds.

Jump Assault Captain? As in a Firstborn Space Marine?

Why? The datasheet already exists. But If they release some kind of primaris JP unit, it needs some character that can lead them.

You tease!

The Dark Angel in me is waiting for a new terminator chaplain.

It wont be a rush for me to grab though so hopefully that's Christmas from the kids sorted

If you’re a Dark Angel, the times you will have this edition xD

Which issue?

I think they mean May's issue, the one that featured the end of the White Dwarf arcs of omens campaign.

These rumours are exciting, my terminators could use a chaplain and those jump pack marines are a must buy (I think those additions will bring my army back to where I was back in 09)

Fun thought:

Maybe the jump pack captain is a multikit allowing you to build a jump pack Chaplain/Liberian as well.

Its a old artwork from 8th edition. Based on the newer librarian character sculpt the ultramarines got.

This guy if my memory serves correctly on the person that told me about it.

(Older version had a different background that was darker)

If so, that's definitely NOT a "Gravis Librarian." He's clearly the standard Primaris (Tacticus) Librarian.

For the sake of a head swap they could very easily make it a dual Lt/Cpt kit

Having waited since '93 for plastic noise marines, I live in hope that tenth Ed will be the time.

How much longer you will need to wait may be tipped off by whether or not they include Lucius and Noise Marines in the 10th ed CSM codex which is coming Q4 2023, if I remember right. That said, given the need to update all current books, you’ll most likely be waiting until 11th edition.
