Lysimachus
I just want to check what we know so far about what is happening on Astess. The Arbites sent us a tight beam saying that the planetary government had rebelled. We sent a tight beam back stating that we are loyal to the Emperor and would come to assist asap. We asked them for further info about the nature of the rebellion but they haven't answered. Slightly sus. Now the planetary governor is saying that the Arbites are the traitors, having kidnapped senior government members and attacked Imperial facilities? Do we know any more than that? Anything I've missed? Are we close enough for live comms now? I wonder if we should contact both at the same time, and see if we can get a clearer picture of who is lying and who isn't? Maybe even create an open channel to both, so we can listen to them respond to each other? From the arbites, you get a single, intense data burst. it is a pict feed recording, an interrogation between a senior arbite and a detained officer, according to the records the planetary goverment sent, this s Marshal Venrok, but the mutant chained to the table claims to be Captain-General Venrok of the Astess Palatial Guard. Mutant in what way? Agreed, and is it confirmed that the person in the pict file is the same person as the officer in the records? And why would the planetary government records give him one rank, but he would then claim another? I could understand if the Arbites had him listed as one rank (a standard Imperial one), but he and/or the planetary government had given him a new, different one - which could be a sign of some sort of revolution? But as it is, it's just a bit weird?
