Something for Dark Angels perhaps or an Inquisitory bit.

I think you are right.

I don't properly see a base for this lantern/censer so maybe it's a bit frome the future DA sprue upgrade ( rumored by @Chapter Master Valrak) and the pic is taken from a photo with all the new bits( and at the top is a DA symbol, therefore is not visibile?).

The smoke, already present in the DA models that we have now and with the new Asmodai, can be an hint about that.

While likely AoS the new 10th december one immediately struck me as aeldar'ish for whatever reason..After a bit of thought i actually could see it belonging to the rumored warp spider  Phoenix lord, as i could see them making his/her armor slightly more organic/warped crystal like the rumor engine.. the general shape could be the corner of an archaic warp spider jump pack with the growths emphasising an arachnic silhouette

The 10th (above) does feel very organic at least, which is possibly where the Aeldari vibe is comning from? It's quite similar to Sylvaneth claws:

however it does also look kinda similar to Nurgle weapons like Plaguebearer's and some of the Glottkin

The 9th does look very similar to the CoS Command Corp doot skelington Soul Shepard, although I could definitely see it being Dork Angels!

The way it's painted actually makes it feel more crystalline to me, with the sharp edges emphasised with strong edge highlighting and some specular reflections * at the "nail"  (* not sure this is the correct term?)

The irregularity of the tines also make it feel more "raw", unrefined, not overproduced. If it is eldar, it doesn't cry Craftworlds or Harlequins to me - I suppose it could be drukhari/mandrakes, or corsairs, or potentially exodites, but I wouldn't put money on any of them.

The reason why I named the rumored warp spider phoenix lord as a possibility is because of that... their name is derived from crystaline warpspiders, and it will be possibly a character with a more mysterious, archaic and detached from craftworld vibe ( as the aspect warriors themselves already are said to be far from the typical craftworlders... though a lot of 2nd edition eldar fluff elements have been deluted.)... I could see a husk of armor abandoned for so long that it has a much more organic and "mutated" vibe.

But.. thats how I would do it.. might not be how GW does it ;)

However I only put it out there to give a "40k" perspective to the rumor engine... if pointy eared in nature, then Idoneth or Sylvaneth are much more likely (as shown above by trawlingcleaner), we also dont know what the actually coming Morai Heg flavored DoK will look like... and Bonereapers or Goblins are even more likely candidates than those imho.

I think the one on the 9th could be Sisters of Battle, I really think GW is on a purge or update spree regarding 2nd edition models, and I expect either Guard or more likely SoB will come with updates to Missionaries and/or Preachers as the token miniature release.

The Imperium and Stormcast lettering is identical on swords, although earlier Stormcast tended to have nondiscript letter and symbols on them, which this could be

The shape of the guard (ie, square-sectioned) is very reminiscent of the bladeguard veterans though, characteristic even - as Dark Angels are the only Loyalist marines in the next 6 months, seems like the most likely

I dont think this looks like stormcast elfish script at all, on the other hand ( to my eyes at least, its a bit out of focus in the corner.) it could even be a copy paste of the Judicar sword's mirrored script (wich the new terminator captains also seem to have ?)

But more so, Stormcast hilts tend to have a diamond , thunderbolts or a twintailed comet on their hilts... preferably in combination. I dont think Ive ever seen small embossed skulls like this.  Honestly Id score the likelyness of this being stormcast quite low... Bretonnia or CoS is imho much more likely than that, but I still think its 40k.. and spacemarine more specifically.

edit:

And right as I posted this you already came to the same conclusion haha. Patience could have save me some words :)

Skaven/ chaos dwarfs...

hmm... what if those two ongoing rumors are one and the same thing... skaven with enslaved (chaos) dwarfs ;)

To be honest I think it shouldnt be skaven... they are a little more "advanced"/alchemical than that, and while that was slightly out of place in WFB, they can dial that up in AoS.. they shouldnt dial it down. Nonetheless can see them do it.

It could be necromunda/cawdor too though, to give a board appropiate spin to it.
