[RT] The Silent Architect (OOC/Discussion)

Recommended Posts

Only one I don't have yet is Kraith from the Horus Heresy Deathwatch campaign yet. Couldn't find a seller of single mk3 armor yet, but I'm just going to bite the bullet and get a full set.

Edit- oh, forgot Moridyn from the modern Deathwatch. Hmm, need to buy some more bits...

Castinius WIP- Naval Breacher sarge, Solar Auxilia commander head, Anvil Industries pistol. Breachers were perfect for the character, just needed a head and gun.

Looking good.

I better replan Anastasia now, was planning on using that same model as the basis, certainly the helmet under the arm and the sword on the hip, and possibly the body as well.

They do ship International, but could be cost prohibitive.

Is the Scourge still touting the Daemon Hammer?

No, it has been given to the Telepathica/Ecclesiarcy as a holy relic.

Sorry for the vox silence - I am still / again bogged down at work sadly  - I’ll probably not be able to provide much currently. Hopefully I’ll have next weekend off

while witnessing  a grudge duell seems in character, maybe it’s currently easier to assume that Marlov needed / chose to be occupied elsewhere if he was aware of the Inquisition showing up ?
So you guys don’t have to wait on me

Alright gang, at some point this weekend I will put in an update that brings us to the Chylde and preparing to sail, at which point I'll close the IC until the game launch proper.

If you want to drop in any interaction posts or narrative before then, please go ahead.

Cheers for all the input so far!

I have edited my last IC post to add a little so that if anybody wants to interact they can.

(Borrowed and modified from google images)

3km long, the Chyldes' silhouette looks much like those of Imperial warships that planet-siders would know from imagery and propaganda, though lacking the vast rows of broadside weapons that dominate the flanks of true warships.

From above the ships command-cathedral structure juts hundreds of metres into the void and combined with the gilt armoured prow and idle glow of its plasma weapons the ship looks every part the expression of wealth and power one might expect of a rogue trader.

Approach from the keel however reveals a kilometer-long array of las-cutters and melta-beams flanked by colossal salvage clamps that are folded up against the ships underside like the corpse of a monstrous mechanical spider.

For any tests relatd to the Star Chylde i've included a 'combat sheet' tab in the ship file that lists common test modifiers.

Manoeuver in this case is the Pilot skill +40

-the ships manoeuverability is +20, it gets a +10 background bonus from being close to a planet, and a stern chase is a routine +10 test.

The captain can choose to enhance any one action each turn which may mean another +10 to this test.

For reference - senior command staff positions. None of thse bonuses actually apply unless a player character takes one on but the list may be useful if anyone is looking for an NPC to include in their posts, or for a role outside of 'sit in cabin / practice with weapons' while in transit.

Lord Captain - (+10 'hold fast')

RANK 2 - senior command positions
First Officer - (+5 command tests)

RANK 3 - specialist command staff

Chief Chirurgeon - (+10 'triage')
Master of Whispers - (+10 'disinformation')
Choir Master Telepathica - (+1 astropathic range band)
Warp Guide - (+5 Stellar Navigation in the warp)

Nice job, A.T. although I don't plan on having you in the warp very long....

Just long enough for Warp Encounter or three...

@Trokair good looking 'bash there.

An OOC sort of question, so I can reference it in my posts:

Regarding Reynard's sidequest to find De Grassi and Co. - what was he able to find out from his previous investigations on Damocles? I sort of assume he knows that they were heading out in the same general direction, but does he have the name of the place they were going, or of a ship or its captain or anything like that?

Certainly:

Your investigations were dogged, especially with your....connections, but De Grassi was thorough and ruthless. People who arranged his transit plans are either ignorant of who they were shipping out (intermediaries can be blamed here), or they have vanished.

I can't remember if Una went with him or kept around the hospital, so we'll tidy it off here and say she's gone too.

The only thing you have is a name: Androcles.

Whether that is a ship, a person or alias, a planet or star system, nobody can tell you with any great degree of clarity.
