I have a feeling this dialogue needs to be in the IC...

Azadth will stay in place, undetected until he has to blow someone's head off. He'll cover your advance. I switched my UGBL with Necro's Kraken bolts, so someone say the word, and I'll make heavy bolter Bob lighter from the neck up.

Perhpas, but as I figure it by the time Alda could begin to act all the MArines will already have sprung into action and formed battle plans and what not. As such I am going to delay Alda's post unti la few of the others have gone andthen work her action to fit in.

Unless you all want me to try a varient of the ploy form the Bazzar, perhpas Godfrey Na Sylt-Lingon could convince some the the enemy to go elswehere, such as chasing pahtim enemies away from the Bulwark.

I've put a roll in the IC for screams and giggles.

If someone else wants to kill the CSM, that's up to them, I'll blast an Orgryn instead, it makes no difference to me.

@Trokair Azadth might ask you to stay with him, then? Wouldn't want his 'his little sister' getting hurt.

I was going to sweep Zidemi’s flamer through the compound. Likely I would get a lot of the dregs (20-30 perhaps), but would leave the various elites behind for the rest of you to finish off.

My, my we have been busy! And welcome back, everyone!

I will have Gerhardt, in classic Black Templar fashion, throw himself into the thick of it and start hacking apart beastmen galore.

So, naturally Váfri's first instinct will be to go for the traitor himself, but when I was first putting him together I had a campaign against mutant ogryns as one of his pre-Deathwatch deployments (he even has an ogryn tooth among his talismans and trappings) and I'm trying to have a general theme of his character arc be him learning to be (a bit) less impulsive as he learns what the mantle of leadership actually requires, so this seems like a great opportunity for him to put those lessons into practice and let someone else go for the renegade Astartes while he focusses on the nearest/biggest ogryn using his experience in taking those down. As unsubtly as possible, of course.

Oh, yeah, @Lysimachus - I like those upgrades you suggested for the unspent XP. I had a quick look through the books and I don't see anything I'd rather take, and the Strength advance is a good shout. I'll go with those, cheers! I probably won't need the tracking this late in the adventure, but like you say it's a fluffy choice.

If someone else wants to clock the turncoat, no worries from me. Once he's scalped, nick his gun.

As long as Azadth takes a head, he's happy.

EDIT:

I've added some interaction with Alda.

Lovely, so far we've got Azadth taking out the Astartes Gunner (smart move, he wouldn't have a Dodge as if we were playing it out the first Round would be a Surprise), Vafri taking on an Ogryn, and Gerhardt and Zidemi going into the mass of troops.

I think that would leave the other Ogryn, and probably some more of the mercenary squads - maybe the Ork and/or Kroot units?

And Omoc, Asterius, Moridyn and Alda to choose their targets!

Once we've got a fair idea of who is doing what, feel free to start posting IC with the fight from your perspective and if you want, to weave what others are doing into your narrative too.
