Omocs decision would be based primarily on the oath. He considers vengeance for Dorghra or Correllageon a moot point - the xenos are the enemy, this is a war and they were already marked for death.

He can swear neither allegiance nor safe passage. And while not opposed to using xenos transportation in of itself he would also see the value of taking two paths lest one never reach their goal.

That's fair enough, I think if anyone doesn't like the idea of agreeing to mutual non-aggression, as long as they stay quiet, the Eldar won't actually insist on hearing it. So if you never actually said it, you haven't actually agreed to it... Maybe on of those situations where having a non-Astartes on the team is quite useful?

Anyway, I'm afraid the idea is not to split the party. The vote is to get a majority that everyone will have to abide by together (which, with Asterius' vote, we now have at least a 5-3 majority for going with the Eldar)

However, that doesn't mean your dudes have to like it, it might even be an interesting source of roleplay as to how those in the minority respond?

I just had a thought.

Seeing as our Power Armour and Weapons are maintained by the Deathwatch and we are going after Orochi.

Hopefully we don't get Murphy'd with a Directive 4.

I'm not sure it's a massive problem, very unlikely for Orochi to have been able to mess with your gear without getting caught?

I'm not sure how it works in the background. I imagine maybe Power Armour Autosenses and HUDs might combine to provide some sort of 'friendly fire' warning if the wearer pointed their gun at a comrade? I'd guess it couldn't actually stop them from pulling the trigger, though...?

If Zidemi wants to check everyone's kit over to make sure it's not been tampered with, that's cool by me!

In Steve Parker's: Deathwatch, one of the guys goes to kill an alien/human hybrid thing, and the Inquisitor running the team puts them all in armour lock to prevent it, provoking the Ultramarine of the group to start swearing at him.

I'm happy enough, but I think more gun would be helpful.

With 30 Req each, we could all buy a lascannon...

Alternatively, if Asterius saws his other arm off, we can requesition a dreadnought, two slingshots and a bow with four arrows! :woot:

I don't know how much impact letting the Supremacy know our plans will have, or if there's any real worry. The path of fate, the way of heaven, is set.

A Storm (or combi melta) Bolter, Stummer, and Stalker Bolts wouldn't go amiss, though.

Good roleplaying opportunity, if nothing else! Váfri never liked having the Inquisition near his gear, so I was already thinking he'd voice some kind of suspicion.

As for req, that would be nice... but the opsec of making contact with a potentially compromised ship when we could just ghost them seems horrible.

Placeholder updated!

I think Moridyn is alright- he's using up 20 Req to keep the plasmagun and I don't think 10 Req is really going to be useful for anything else he needs.

I take it you're using your free mag of ammo for your shotty?

If we want to get a bit tacticool, and go off the reservation so to speak, we could atually do the bomb-up the way I've read squaddies do it: we pool everything we already have, and divvy it all out according to lack/need/suitablility.

Could be a nice moment where no-one is talking, we're doing the final prep before mission, filling magazines, trading spec ammo, locking into that mindset.

Just a thought.

You wouldn't have thought the Codex would approve such a response!

Edit: though I'm immediately wondering if there is a Chapter or Appendix with Guilliman-approved curse words!

You know it dose.

On the approved lists are for example:

  • Sugar
  • Biscuits
  • By the Codex...

For more intense situations the next tier contains amongst others:

  • Blistering Barnacles!
  • Captain, may I be excused for a moment?
  • Ay, caramba

So how do we all feel about our current reqistioned items and general loadout?

I'm pretty happy with Gerhardt's gear at the moment, though I could be convinced to swap his boltgun for a plasma pistol or combi-flamer, or alternatively (and more cheaply) snap up an auxiliary grenade launcher so he can go in guns blazing and weapons chained in place like a complete nutter.

By the sounds of it, everybody is happy with the gear they got at the moment. Along with a sentiment of nicer things would be nice, but no one has their heart set on contacting the Supremacy.

Follow up question, do we want to try and take Amaras and headless Nick with us on the Eldar ship, or leave them here, with perhaps a beacon to go up in a few days time for the Supremacy to recover...

Yeah, could always set Amaras' transponder to do a distress pulse.
