The Pounder
Finally found time to work on the Kroot! This is a Flesh Shaper from the Kroot Hunting Pack. Another incredible sculpt from the new range. It seems the higher the rank of the Kroot, the more clothes they get! So much fun to build and paint because it has so many different textures to paint. Definitely one of my favourites from the range. Enough preamble here’s the pics: T’au Empire Kroot Flesh Shaper T’au Empire Kroot Flesh Shaper T’au Empire Kroot Flesh Shaper I think next up for the Kroot it’s time to work on the naked masses! About time I did some rank and file. The Pounder
Cheers mate, I think I’m going to need it! I reckon I’ll do 10 Carnivores then the Krootox Rider with Repeater Cannon should keep me motivated! The Pounder
I’ve finally managed to complete half of my first team of Kroot Carnivores! Seriously, the amount of detail on these sculpts is incredible especially when you think they’re rank and file. There’s so many pouches, knives and slabs of meat etc. My personal favourite is the Kroot Hound pup! Here’s some pics: Kroot Carnivores Team Kroot Carnivores Team Kroot Carnivores Team Kroot Carnivores Team So that’s the first part of my vow complete! I’m going to do the 3 Zoanthropes next but will be back with a Krootox Rider soon! Thanks for looking! MithrilForge
Awesome work brother !! they look fantastic , very clean work and so much detail (you’re right about the high amount of detail on the models ) look forward to the next instalment, after your tyranid vow Cheers, Mithril The Pounder 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/382308-urban-t%E2%80%99au-in-the-snow/page/3/#findComment-6047002 Share on other sites
TheArtilleryman
Stunning as usual. As always, gobsmacked as to how your models stand up to so such close-up photography and still look so precise and with not a single stroke looking out of place or bit of paint looking thick. Brilliant. The Pounder
Thanks @MithrilForge! I was getting the paints out for the Zoanthropes and realised how few colours I use compared to the Kroot! So should be able to knock them out at speed! @TheArtilleryman, thanks very much! Really happy you like my style. As for the close ups, I use a Magnifying Lamp so it makes it easier to see the details! walter h and MithrilForge 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/382308-urban-t%E2%80%99au-in-the-snow/page/3/#findComment-6047170 Share on other sites
The Pounder
I’m planning on fielding a Coldstar and Enforcer Commander in my Sunforge and Fireknife teams. My question to any experienced Aun among us is, which Commander to attach to which Team? My question to any experienced Aun among us is, which Commander to attach to which Team? Personally, I like the Coldstar with the Sunforge suits. Getting the extra movement plus assault is so critical for getting them into their tiny 6" melta range. I also like the Enforcer with the Firekives. Since they don't have shields anymore, the -1AP against them really helps their survivability. Also, great job on all those Kroot, they're looking really good. The Pounder
Well I had more time today than I thought! I spent my time wisely and finished my Lone Spear!
