Spotted in the trailer previously, but now it's official.

This cunning terrain set is fully compatible with the existing Zone Mortalis terrain, but crucially adds elements of destruction and decay. There are buckled and ruined columns, damaged and holed walls, smashed platforms, broken doors, and other busted accessories. Most excitingly, there are sections of pipe walls – gangers can see through these but not cross them, adding a new dimension to combat in the darkness.

But you’re not in the Underhells for the scenery. You’re there on a mission to recover lost data crystals (unless your surname is Helmawr of course, in which case you’re on a mission to kill as many Genestealers as possible to cock a snook at your 17th cousin twice removed at the annual House Trazior family get-together). These data crystals are kept in Data Stack Clusters – and you’ll be able to battle for them shortly after the Hive Secundus box comes out.

You get two stacks to a box, and between these and the Ruined Zone Mortalis, you’ll be able to make an incredibly satisfying 3D board to fight over as your band of foolhardy looters goes ever deeper in search of precious repositories of lost data.

I really wonder how these stuff will be on sprues. Columns looks like being a kind of complicated molding and assembly pattern...

They look like two L shapes forming the column, and a top plate. I can see some of the joins on the larger image.

Added an Oxford comma for clary.

I like the vibe of these. Pleasantly surprised that Necromunda did not abandon its blocky terrain after Kill Team released 'Into the Dark' with it's cheaper spaceship walls and bulkheads.

Thats because Kill Team is the mainline studio, while ZM is a Specialist thing, and they keep those two separated due to…reasons.

LOL  My First thought was that its bad casts of the terrain set and they're trying to sell it off as ruined terrain (i guess if this was Failcast days then it may have been possible )

It looks great but I invested heavily into the new Killteam Walls etc so won't need to buy these.

Happy for those that use them though (might want to check with your bank manager though before purchasing :ermm:)

to anyone who had old board or pieces, how well do these mesh. What i heard we were losing some detail but they seem to mesh well with older pieces?

We won't really know until people have their hands on them but they appear to be the same level of detail as the existing kits.

I've just noticed they don't appear to be on tiles. It looks more like a mat.

I don't follow Necromunda stuff much - have we had a mat or board released before? I would love to save some money on tiles if GW released a board.

The initial release came with 12” square boards in the ZM pattern. They’re great, nicely detailed and varied- they still work alongside the printed tiles too.

The Underhive tiles and the Dark Uprising mat are about 11.25" instead of 12" like the plastic tiles. The Dark Uprising mat has a pattern that matches the ZM terrain (but is missing parts of a square along the edges) whereas the Underhive cardboard tiles have six squares that are smaller than the ZM squares.
