Yes, sorry, I think I may have started that snowball effect - I had pictured Varne as lounging near the back, specifically watching each of the astartes and appraising since they're still effectively strangers. (crb pg 176) I can't 100% remember if the rest of us rolled for them, or if Mazer let us choose one (as some of them are frankly absolute rubbish) If you are allowed to choose one, I'd heartily recommend Careful Maintenance? It grants you 2 extra working Subsystems, so you could have Osmotic Gill working?
