(though Xerxes and anyone else with a dataslate have options)

Another option I was going to suggest.

You're not as bereft as you think, lads.

Ok, not really important right now, but a question about the Helmet Augmentations Wargear entry:

If you have Power Armour with the Autosenses and Osmotic Gill subsystems, you already have all the effects of photo-visor, rebreather and preysense goggles*  built in, yes?

*well, to be accurate you have Dark Sight, but not the +20 to vision-based Per at night, but that's no biggie.

So, the only things not included from the list are a microbead and a voxcaster. So... you'd only need to buy the Poor Quality Helmet Aug (pick 2 of the options) in order to get all the bits of your helm working? And because it's Poor, it's Scarce Availability rather than Rare?

Planning ahead.

Yeah, essentially you could Acquire it, rip the stuff out and fit it to your own brain bucket.

Very quick question, they said 2.5 Gs on the surface of the asteroid, is that enough to be considered a High G environment and affect Movement rates?

Just trying to work out how quickly we can cover 800m...

Yes mate, it's twice and then some Earth G, so it will preclude bunneh hopping, but also drastically increase Escape Velocity, so you shouldn't go floating off either. All move rates will be AB -1, no running, diving or piddling in the shallow end.

From a rough thumb, it should take the party about 30ish mins to cover it, going at the rate of your slowest man.

(Thanks to Tro's good roll of 012, no-one died or was injured, either...)

The End Times really are coming, aren't they...?

and here I though I had caused all the bad things with my abysmal rolls.

If I wanted to play a cyborg I would have tried to do so from character generation.

I think Tarh is quite attached to his mortal shell, thank you very much.

You mean....

His TORTOISE SHELL.

Spoiler

Thank you kindly, oh most beneficent GM!

Divvying up the loot:

Quote

2 x Boltgun magazines (full)
3 Assorted Weapon Magazines (Combination of Full magazines for rifle, or shotgun or pistol)
2 x Microbeads (Quality unknown)
1 x Autogun (Common), (Loaded)
5 x Supplies (Rations, Water capsules)
1 x Emergency Medical Kit
1 x Emergency Comms Unit (Salvage)

The only thing Hagga really wants out of that is one of the microbeads. If no-one has any objection, as current team leader I think he should probably have it? If that is ok, that means Xerxes (already) has one, Hagga has one, and there is one more up for grabs?

However, Hagga and Cyrandras are also the only ones with Boltguns, so I'm guessing it makes sense to take one of those clips each, unless anyone else has a reason to want them? Cyrandras can even take both if he needs them (he hasn't got any listed on his sheet, but I would have thought he gets the 4 clips for his starting weapon as part of his CSM gear, so in the same position as Hagga?)

I don't think we have a Medicae in the team, so I suppose the medikit should just go to someone with decent Int, so maybe Xerxes?

Has anyone not got a ranged Basic weapon who wants the autogun, and maybe 1 (or even 2?) of the 3 assorted clips could also be for that gun? (I'm assuming we can choose here?)

I'd say give the food Supplies to the 4 mortals first, and maybe Ukalegon as he hasn't gained anything yet?

I assume the comm unit is the one built into the boat and isn't working, hence the Salvage bit? Could we strip it and turn the parts into any more microbeads, or is it just something that might be useful for trade later on?

Tarh dose have Medicae and a medikit (was part of starting skill/gear).

Not sure if therefore makes sense to have the emergency kit with somebody else as a backup or consolidate.

Xerxes minion has medicae and a good 50/50 chance of not screwing it up with a medpack.

Heap the rest of the cheap stuff on the designated loot mule :p

Ooh, nice! Sorry gents, I was looking in the wrong tables (and not at Minions!)

So we're actually in a pretty good place for Healers, then? Tarh's base target (with the medikit and an Assist from Ephialtes) is 75, I think? Not too shabby at all!

Does anyone else think that the very fact that it waited to perform its 'job', and now it's asking for a password are suggestive that it is some sort of guardian, not just a decon unit.

If it was just a basic cleaner, it would have been more of an automated response - just started spraying, given us all a quick chem fog-bath and then immediately gone back to neutral?

I tend to think we're about to get jumped, and maybe we should jump first? We don't know the password it's looking for anyway?

Edit: And, if so, presumably we should knock out the Clademaster first...?

I also get the impression that the reason we got no response to our crash landing from the pirates is that this section of the base is hostile to them (as well as us).

Depending on whether it is a civilian system, generic mechanicus guardian, or custom installation it might stand down in the face of a code phrase given to astartes and other high ranking officials to bypass measures meant for the lesser civilians, might accept the default admin password, or might accept nothing.

+Identify group. Deliver loyalty phrase.+

"Admin. Admin."

I don't think the Smiler would be able to charm/deceive a servitor, unfortunately. Especially without any real idea of the owner's of the base/their possible backgrounds.

A better gambit than 'Obvious' or 'ReindeerFlotilla' I'll grant you...

A bluff attempt by either the techies or the talkies is possible. If you want to try 'a roll for it' you may make an Intelligence Test on any appropriate lores or Logic if you want.

I was hoping to poke one of the marine players forward so they get shot when it fails to get everyone involved :p  But Xerxes does have a high lore and logic check thanks to his implants so that also works.
