I need to go back and reread the Incursion bit, must have missed it...

Hagga is the only one with Command Skill, so I guess if we want to do it, it's down to him?

Question is whether we want to risk the other Corsair getting ganked by the Stubber in order to help us out vs the Horde? Is it worth it?

I am definitely a bit concerned about getting another 2 SABs at full 2d10 extra Damage coming in Round 1, but if the Corsair can knock even 1 Mag off of Horde B it will be much less...

And I assume the Corsair will actually get a Dodge if the Stubber hits him, as it isn't a Horde, so it's not a foregone conclusion that he'll get killed if he helps us out?

However, Hagga and Cyrandras are both in cover now (I hope?) So they might be able to weather the attack a bit better this time? (Or Mazer might actually roll badly for an enemy attack... not that I hold out much hope of that... )

Also, worth bearing in mind that this Horde is below the level of the gantry, so they might choose to shoot at Ukalegon instead, and he (maybe?) doesn't have any cover? So for him the Horde is currently a serious threat too.

Lots to consider... but I wonder if it might be worth taking up the GM's offer and trying the Command test for some help. What do you think, guys?

Not going to mess you about, if he helps he takes his eye off the ball and he's dead meat.

Hence the +1 Corruption.

@Lysimachus in the immortal words of Sheev Palpatine, "DO IT!"

However, if you prefer a meatier, manlier take from one "Dutch" A. Schwarzenegger, "DO IT! DO IT NOW!"

*Laughs in fiery, ammunition and wargear corsair consuming convocation, mysteriously leaving several photos of his ex wife and seventeen starving children behind, along with a letter from Uncle Huron letting him retire in eight days.*

Sorry gents, going to be suddenly busy for an hour or two. OK, I guess Hagga will go for it... I've just got to have a look and remind myself of which Failings I selected at Character creation... back in a few!

(Covers mouthpiece). Hey, Delly, it's that guy, the one with less Infamy than that Executioner's dog. Yeah, him. What? Ok.

Yeah, sorry mate, She's washing her hair. Try again later, yeah?

Excellent.

GM: I did offer the occupants of the room an Easy (+20) Awareness Check, but I don't think anyone took me up on it, and was going to let the chance pass. However, I offer this to you now, as you've mentioned it.

Had not reallised that was for all of us, assumed it was for Xerxes and Kraggen given the narative of the IC post.

Looks like Xerxes did manage to spot the danger though... one TPK avoided, way to many still out there.

Apologies - in that case, you can spot the vent at the same time, if you wish to narrate it, drawn by Xerxes quick glance.

Given that Tarh been pretty busy in the 30 or so seconds since the hostile came into view, and I ended the last post with him focused on the hostiles outside the door ready to shoot another one, I think it works fine that he neither had the opportunity to nor spotted the danger. Focused elsewhere. He will have heard the warning though I think, so knows that there is danger from the rear, and will just have to trust* the others to their part just as he is doing his.

I'm sure it's fine.

@Mazer Rackham how far away is the GSC heavy stubber fire-team from Ukalegon? I'm not entirely sure as to where they're located relative to us.

In Metric it's 'Fuhgeddabaht It' Metres.

In Imperial, it's 200m+ and I forget if it's below you or not. IIRC it's on tier 3 and you can't see each other due to gantry you're hugging!

Sorry for being quite. I'm at CON-tingency gaming and the WiFi is not great.

No worries. I'm not sure as to what you're looking for on the files mentioned in your IC? Anything specific?

Perhaps a time line for when the purple appear or something...

Well, on balance, I'd say that worked and was worth losing the injured NPC and the Corruption* Point?

All three Hordes' Lasguns now do 2d10+3 Damage, with an average roll result of 14, so vs our typical TB+AV of 15-17 they'll need solidly above average rolls to do us any harm?

(Watch as Mazer now rolls up 3 hits for every SAB and 9 and 10 on every single Damage roll... )

*I don't even mind the Corruption Point. I was looking through that bit of the book and Corruption actually nets you some good stuff, doesn't it? Gifts, etc. As opposed to something like DH, where it is all a negative, I mean? Gaining it is just another part of the game, something to be expected and even useful?

Right up to the point where you hit 100 and turn into a Spawn, obviously...

I'll have a rummage and see what I can do - the real treats are in the command centre, though.

Ah, well there's the gag. Your auto spawn is 100 Corruption, but in Black Crusade, your GM sets the Threshold.

And for this game it's 85.

With each Minor compact netting you random Infamy/Corruption, you should hear that revolver cylinder spin with each notch...

Really? Oh, in that case, mostly misses and when they do hit, 1s and 2s for Damage please?

I missed this. So the GM can change the Corruption threshold as well as the Infamy threshold?

Is that a house rule? Cos the book seems to suggest the Corruption level is always at 100, but the GM can move the Infamy goal up or down to make the game harder or easier? (I only ask cos I was re-reading all of that bit this morning, pg 268)

Ok, if the Corruption level for Spawndom is 85, what was our Infamy Goal for this game again?

For damage by Players?

No problem! :pirate:

No, no, the Infamy level is indeed set by me at 85, and Spawndom is still 100, the point I was making is that Corruption gets tossed out more than Infamy does, so +1 is nothing...until you get +9 on top. Apologies for the confusion.

Call it dramatic undertone, if you will.

No, no, it's my fault dear boy.

Think nothing of an old fool howling at the moon and beating his chest.

My third ex-wife, however, she complains.

IIRC you're plugged into the command pulpit of the comms centre, yes?

The Command Centre 'proper' is a bigger bunker further around the corner, where Druid was apparently broadcasting from.
