@Mazer Rackham not to nit-pick (but totally to nit-pick because scumbaggery is part and parcel of Black Crusade), shouldn't our now-deceased stooge have gotten a bonus mag damage from firing explosive rounds?

As per Lysi's post:

For preference, I'd rather he took a half Aim and a Standard Shot to maximise his chances of hitting, rather than a SAB. All I want is 1 Hit (+1 for X) to take the Mag down to a (marginally) safe(r) level.

So that's what you got. 1 Hit + 1 Hit Explosive.

Oh oops I missed the single shot, my mistake. Please disregard! (Please don't smite me! :whistling:)

No guarantees....

However, let me elaborate on what happened, because I think I need to let people peek behind the curtain a bit.

40 BS +20 Incursion, +10 Half Aim, + 10 Standard Attck, +10 Mag, -10 Long Range = 80, right?

When I did the first roll, it rolled 93, a Miss. Then I thought, I'll give 'em a free re-roll, 'because GM.' It rolled 97, Miss and Jam. That's when I decided, you know what, the story comes first, and my Player deserves a reward for interacting with what I offered, and the game needs to move on.

EDIT: Last post edited with Round One/Two.

Was there any time left to do anything?

As far as I am aware in the minute warning period

  • Kragan got some Intel in the form of downloaded logs
  • Xerxes spotted the potential ambush route
  • Cru’ax moved next to the door ready to stab the first hostile through
  • Tarh took down a hostile and reposition so as to aim at the next one approaching the door.

Perhaps Xerxes can attempt to weld shut the suspicions vent?

I kinda a assumed we were waiting on initiative, but that that would be after the Marine conflict wound down so as to not have two overlapping combats.

All appreciated - yes, Xerxes can attempt to weld the vent cover closed, no problem. No test required, it's a simple enough job. Once/if that's done, I'll move your group to Initiative - although as you say, to ease the pressure of two combats, Krokodil 4-2 will be Structured Time Light (You-go-I -go).

Is that ok for everyone?

Very quick one, I assume in that last post you meant Ukalegon to start R2, not Hagga...

Out of interest, when you say the Hordes are now 100m and 90m away, is that distance from Hagga and Cyrandras on the level 2 gantry? If Ukalegon did a Full Fly move upwards in R1, is he now close enough to get a Charge off into either Horde?

Oops! Yes, I did - sorry, I'll fix that.

Yes, and yes, with a good Operate Test, yes he can get to the closest.

Do not fear, brother, for you have my axe.

But, please stop hitting yourself with it.
