Do we even have any inkling as to where he was taken? I guess maybe we could try to trace the ductwork he was dragged through but beyond that I'm unsure if any of us is a particularly skilled tracker. Considering my character was not there, I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do about him at present.

The questions are:

When did we use Character Names in open conversation?

How does Druid know who Ukalegon is?

How does he know the he has Crux'as?

Is Druid the one Seryna called Caleb.

Is Seryna the Mole?

Anyway we don't IC know about Druid's conversation.

So it is just a case of Dads Army - Pte Fraser's Catchphrase!

Putting on my meta-gaming hat (sorry), Druid is most likely a cult magus, meaning he's a psyker of some potency, so he could have been telepathically snooping on us all along, or he lifted the names and memories directly from Crux'as's mind. Mind Probe, for example, requires an opposed WP test, though it looks like the opposed portion challenge is possibly waived if it is being used surreptitiously (see BC Core Rules, p.224). Since it's a short range power, my guess is the Smiler got Scanned by Druid.

I reckon Tarh has the best shot at it. A man moving alone could move fast and evade detection...but if it goes wrong...

Also, do we have any more allies here? Who is Caleb? Can Seryna put us in touch?

I reckon this bit is a GM query - You could RP it...

Crawl into the airvents with a geenstealer? I am not keen on the idea.

Regarding locating the Smiler, we know from the logs that the purple lot had work crews in the old prison cells/area, between Seryna, the map data we have already and whatever info we can get out of the command centre we can probably locate it. And once we get close the micro bead can be pinged.

Huron is secretly a GSC, or perhaps that Hydra guy...

Balance, Tro, balance. I wouldn't put a Stealer in there with you.

Feral Stealer children, maybe, but come on...

I am not reasured...:whistling::tongue:

On a different note, I failed on the First Aid for Hagga, is this something I can have anoter go at while we are planning our next step, or is the dmage done for this time period?

Hmm, Players are so suspicious nowadays...

Anyhoo, First Aid, I'd have to look - I'm not sure how it works in BC, I suspect it's fairly simple. I'll get back to you unless a more learned frater knows off the cuff...

As far as I know, there aren't any downsides to a First Aid failure (it's only on Extended Care tests that you might do more Damage?) but I'd assume you only get one chance at doing the test... don't sweat it, Hagga is on 15/20 so he isn't too bad.

Cyrandras probably still needs a roll?

Edit: Never mind, if our GM will allow it, I'll happily have the second attempt!

Crux'as will be trying to drag out any sort of conversation from Druid and the other cultists- while he doesn't have the knowledge of GSC, he definitely knows chaos cults and that this is not one of them. His best hope is just to delay until the cell can do something to help him, as being in the clutches of a hostile, cannibalistic cult is not exactly good for one's health.

So far as I know, there are only two ways that the GS infection can be transmitted - through the Ovipostor of a Purestrain, or through having sex with someone who is already infected (like a super STI, I guess?)

So, as long as there aren't any Purestrains there (don't seem to be at the moment) and Crux'as keeps it in his pants , he should be safe from infection for a bit?

Though I suppose psychic/hypnotic attack is a danger too, but hopefully he can resist that for a bit?

Ok, so we can move up to Charge distance away (from the door itself or from the occupants inside?) on the bottom level without being spotted and losing us the element of surprise. But the door isn't open, right? It needs the code entered, will that require an Action?

Maybe we all move up to Charge Range in the narrative pre-fight stage to get into position, have someone use the Scout move to sneak up to the door and open it, then we can use our Surprise Round to either Charge or Run to get inside and into cover?

Questions re the maps of the levels:

I'm assuming the red ring shows the location of the sentry gun on each floor?

As the stairwell is secured with doors/hatches on all levels, I assume it must be a solid structure floor to ceiling on all floors (otherwise, no point in the doors?) Therefore does this central shaft block LoS across the middle of the chamber?

You know the code, so Free Action.

Goes for your Scout as well. If he is good enough to spot a code being entered, opening the door will be a Free Action (as long as you aren't spotted).

Working as intended.

Correct.

Only on Floor 1 and 2.

Any use?

Yep, that all makes sense... I think...

So, on the top floor there isn't actually a doorway at the top of the stairs? It's just the locked door (to go up) on the middle floor, then the stairs up which open out into the top floor chamber?

The middle of the third floor is slightly concave, and in the centre of the room covering the stairs, there is a raised 'blister' or pillbox, like this.

OIP.9-K1ggBi66Qi9Ey29D62BAHaIw?pid=ImgDe

The door would be here in the gap.

Does this make sense?

Where are the automated weapons located? Wondering if it would be practical for the tech-priests to move to them as the fighting starts and try to override them.

Red doughnuts. They're ceiling mounted to provide maximum coverage, so you'd have to get underneath them, but I will rule that if standing directly under them, there is a 1m 'blind spot' they cannot attack you. If you can get LoS on them, I will allow a Challenging (+0) Mechanicum Lore-based Intelligence Test to discern pattern, weaknesses etc.

So... is it Tarh for sneaking up to the door? (I think Ukalegon actually does have Stealth and higher Ag, but I don't know if there is a sneaking penalty for wearing Power Armour in BC - I can't seem to find it in the book?)

I was wondering about the stealth penalty in power armour in BC as well. There is *technically* nothing explicitly stated with regards to a stealth penalty in the core rules, and Ukalegon does have a good baseline agility to run with, but I'm not bothered either way. I was considering having the Lamenter sneak up to the door, try the code and if that failed then immediately let loose with his meltagun and create a new opening, with everyone else prepared to charge through the breach and/or send much dakka down-range. Otherwise, Tarh is an excellent candidate for doing something along those lines, barring using the melta pistol.
