Well looking at the Chaos Havocs as were, the ML always looked like it had a jury-rigged magazine, (as did some of the Marine ones) and the Soundstrike is actually only single-shot, fed by a ready magazine/w loading arm on the backpack.

This is something we can look at, but would be either that or a jump pack, when the opportunity comes.

The Proteus ML has a clip of 5 going by the model, so let's just say I lost the magazine and manually feed each missile into the chamber

Single ML with Extended Magazine (adds 25% shots but specifies round up) would take you from Clip 1 to 2. Then taking the Shot Selector would allow 3 Clips, bringing you up to 6 missiles before needing a reload, and freely able to choose between Frag and Krak (and maybe later something more rare)?

Which is honestly where it should have been in the first place...

Edit: Did he have any spare levels on the starting Acquisition of the ML to add any Upgrades?

Edit edit: Actually, ML is only Rare, and you would get +10 for the Single Item, so I think you probably could include both of those Upgrades?

Well, the magazine rack was obviously just lying around, until an Executioner came in... and thought *hmm, I could make a trophy rack out of this...*

Maybe IC< you glance at Hagga's bold display and think 'hmm, familiar, but I can't place it...'

I believe I did my acquisitions correctly (IB = 3: ML, kraks, frags), but regardless I would quite like to cycle through a few different heavy weapons as they become available. I'm the meantime I don't mind too much have a single shot.

I can confirm all Acquisitions were done correctly.

Normal BC Game TPK's:

Players: 'I cast fireball!'

GM: 'You roll perils and get a bloodthirster.':HQ:

OR;

Players: ' I have connived and betrayed you all! Mwahahah!'

Also Other Players: 'No, me! Mwahahah!' :HQ:

My BC Game TPK's:

Players: 'Please sir, can we have some more (stuffs)?'

GM: 'So you have chosen death....'

@Mazer Rackham for reference is it Obidiah's turn in Brawlhalla (see what I did there?)? I think that may have gotten lost in the flood of posts concerning rats fleeing to/from proverbial ships a page back in the IC.

Correct, sir.

Sorry, busy day around both home and office.

Don't ever sweat that, squire, we have a 'real-life takes precedence' policy around here.

Although if you could fill out the Spleen donation waiver, that would be just great.

I love that film. Mystery Men is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine.

"Guilty"?  Pffft.

Eddie Izzard adds at least 10% benefit to literally every film they're in.

I would love to see them as a noble in the Cavill Series (HAH IT'S ABOUT 40K NOW!)

My last off-topic about this, I promise - I've had occasion to meet Eddie Izzard twice, and regrettably, neither experience was terribly positive.

Anyhoo...now that IFF has posted, we can move onwards with the slaughter.

Hmm

@Iron Father Ferrum @Mojake I'd like your thoughts before Hagga acts.

He and Eska are just within Charge distance of the big beastie, and my gut instinct would be to charge it before it charges us?

However, that would leave Varne and Obadiah shooting into CC (or standing around doing nothing...)

I'm thinking it might be better to move back a bit, just outside of its Charge Range, and put a plasma pistol shot into it. That way, the others can also shoot (preferably with a Krak missile?)

Also, the beast will have to Run rather than Charge to get into combat with us, meaning it can't attack this Round?

Just gives us an opportunity to put some Wounds on it before it can squish us?

Thoughts?

Will do, boss. I'll roll it before I roll any Actions for the next Round

Edit: I think I am going to go with a shot this Round, it's just the smart move, and it avoids the other 2 Marines being kind of cut out of the fight?

Yes, indeed!

I'm not too worried by Frenzy, it's +1SB and TB so that's not a big change...

...but I am concerned that Mazer didn't choose to even bother trying to Dodge 23 Dam at Pen10*... :ermm:

(I assume from the narrative that it did do some Wounds? Are we allowed an idea of how many?)

Still, if it costs a Half Action to Frenzy, that means it can't Run or Charge this Round, so we get another Round of shooting if we want?

*I get that the ML is still to fire, but an average roll on 3d10+8 is only 24.5 (at Pen8) so not much different?

Edit: another thing we learn, being on Fire ignores AV but it can't hurt this guy, so its TB must be 10 or more. I'm assuming not as high as a Bloodthirster at TB18, but still pretty high...

Yes, it did some good wounds.

Mea Culpa on that one, I misread that it did it for free when wounded, but it isn't, it's a Half - and since it goes last, it still has a Full Action. You can assume it used the previous turn to blow the bloody doors off. I've changed it to 'merely' being on fire, and no Frenzy.

Not sure if sarcasm or not, so I'll just say 'thanks'

Fair enough. So when it is its Turn, it will be able to either Frenzy (and have another Half Action left) or Run (Full Action) into combat, but not both? Either way, it's a bit of good news!
