sarabando
The Night Lord's scouts were broken, their ambush in tatters, as well drilled las fire cut each warrior down in turn. Two dozen bright bolts lanced through the power armour single target volleys ensured a kill with each report. The last of the midnight clad warriors slipped as he ran, his armour scuffing on the dry valley floor. He scrambled into cover before returning fire, his bolts downing an auxilia solider with each hit. The lord Marshall broke ranks, pushing his large frame past the gun line, the servos of his walker frame humming with each stride. Bolt rounds ricocheted off the refraction field with a squeal like running a knife down the strings of an electro strummer. He raised his hand, the arm of the ancient combat frame rose up like a violent shadow. Clenching his gauntlet, he sent the firing signal to the in built weapons systems. Sandstone cover evaporated as high calibre rounds hissed through the stone and Astarte like air. "All units, this net." He signalled` into the vox. "Standby for counter-attack." The words had barely been transmitted before the sandstone wall to the right exploded into dust, the hulking form of a dreadnought moving in the haze. "It takes guts to counter ambush a counter ambush!" Laughed the Marshall, igniting his ancient blade. "Well let's seem them then!" Tallarn Commander
The accompanying text really makes this model seem more like a diorama.
