I love these guys.

I have one Tri Ecto-plasma, and one Hades with jaws.

Both do great work, the Hades is stable and consistent, the Ecto-plasma one can swing in output, but when he gets going he is scary, a true elite killer.

The Forge Fiends compliment my heavy shooting, while most times they are focusing on infantry, they have the shots and S to chip away at tanks. Hades focuses on the chaff, Ecto goes for vehicles (not the best choice, but it can work), and elites. The only drawback on the Hades is the low AP, but in Soulforged you can at least boost it, and in Renegades as well.

They perform very well. I've never regretted adding one or two to my lists.

While performing well in any list, the Soulforged detachment is where I like them most, with this detachment they just ramp up the performance.
