Trokair
Session 2 Player Rewards  All Players may choose one of these options: Two simple characteristic advance of your choice (add +5 to any two different stats and mark the simple advance in the first little box below said stat on your sheet) One Intermediate characteristic (add +5 to any one stat that you already had a simple advance for and then mark the second little box below said stat on your sheet) Upgrade one Trained Skill to the +10 version Take one unselected option from the individual player reward from Session 1.  I think the unselected options are: Ialandranth Veilseeker Forsight Sprint Ialathial Duskstrider Combat Master Double Team Kelman Orach Rapid Reaction Saoirse Firebright Assassin Strike Venkarryn A Ballistic Skill Advance Edited December 5 by Trokair Akylas and Mazer Rackham 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385923-a-knocking-afar/page/12/#findComment-6145510 Share on other sites
Akylas
Thanks for running the campaign. I've only played a bit of Rogue Trader and it's been great.  To the experienced players, maybe this time I should take the stat bonus (Perception plus Agility maybe)? Want to make sure I'm useful for the last bit of the campaign. Mazer Rackham
Good job on getting stuck in  I don't think you can go wrong with your choices, spotting, movement and dodging are pretty good stats to improve - stealth is based on Agility as well, so it's a multiplicative purchase.  I will likely bump my WP to 50, and Ag to 53, which gives me a massive AB of 10. A.T.
A run speed of 90 is tempting... but as the partys tracker I think a score of more than 30 may be more useful there :p Trokair and Mazer Rackham 1 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385923-a-knocking-afar/page/12/#findComment-6145687 Share on other sites

Akylas
Went for the plus 5s in BaS and Agility. I tried to mark the advance boxes but it's only visible for Agility. Is there a certain way to mark those boxes? I tried to put an x in them. Mike Zulu
I took +5 Strength and +5 Agility. I could use the extra speed. I also want to try a melee approach going forward (have yet to use the Diresword...). Trokair
Little Housekeeping before part three gets going.  I think the chosen rewards were as follows, if I am wrong please let me know.  @A.T. Ialandranth, Tracking +10  @Mike Zulu Ialathial, Simple Agility and Srength advance  @Akylas Kelman, Simple Agility and Ballistic Skill advance  @Mazer Rackham Saoirse, Simple Agility and Willpower Advance  @Black Cohort Venkarryn, still to make a choice. Let me know when you are better/less snowed under.   Next up a question for the more experienced players. Insanity points, as Ialathial acquired 13 from the Darklight. Looking at p 234 the first part is quite clear, 10 points require a Trauma Test. However it is the next bit I am unsure about, under Gaining a Metal Disorder it says that a change in the degree of madness causes a disorder to be gained. Dose going from Stable (0-9 Insanity points) to Unsettled (10 -39) count as this, or is it only Unsettled to Disturbed to Unhinged to Deranged count?   Mike Zulu, when you have a moment please roll me a Will Power Test with a +20 (+10 from Trama Modifier as per the table on page 234 and an additional +10 as I think Eldar should be a little more mentally resilient that base humans.     Black Cohort, I don’t think I have seen a darklight Will power test from you yet, so when you are better and less busy please role a +0 Willpower Test.   In terms of state of play, I was thinking to let the interlude run for the next two weeks or so and then start the final part just before or after new year (time depending). So get your question in if you have them.      Mazer Rackham, Mike Zulu and Akylas 1 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385923-a-knocking-afar/page/12/#findComment-6146968 Share on other sites

If failed then roll on table 8-6 with +10 for every degree of failure on the willpower test  No disorders are gained eiter way. Â Â Â Have done in the IC Thread. I like to think that the War Mask would provide that resistance to mental trauma. Â Regarding the interrogation: I only have trained Command. Command only affects those "under my authority". Or am I attempting to assert authority over this Dark Eldar? Trokair
Interrogate is the primary skill to well interrogate someone. The other options are suggestion that with good role play could also be made to work (and by all means if you have an idea for a different approach then do so, charm, intimate, command and deceive are just the first four I could think of that might be relevant). Â So yes Command in this case would be to try and assert authority over the subject to get them to answer. Intimidate would be the scare them into giving answers, deceive would be some type of trickery, and charm, well it says so on the tin. Â Think of it this way, with the interrogate skill you would know how to get answers out of the subject, and what approach will work. Without it you have to try your luck with different approaches to see if it works. You could even combine options, do a bad cop intimidate, good cop charm offensive. All up to you guys. Trokair
Ok, quick check in before we all get distracted by new shiny little plastic men and too much good food and family time. I assume people have just been busy, but does anybody have actual questions to ask the Dark Eldar? If yes (and you have time) it be great if we could get that played out at some point before January. Â Is there more I need to provide/help with in terms of the questioning? Mike Zulu
I had a very poor Command roll (84) and RP-wise I hadn’t envisioned Ialathial doing anything more than prod the prisoner and ask simple question.  So I left it open for the moment, but I might prepare a simple post in the next day or so to get the ball moving.  In any case Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.
