Trokair
5 hours ago, Akylas said: How far can we run in a turn? Could I make it to the bushes near where Venkarryn started this round? Or are any more Dark Eldar needing suppressed? You can run 30m with the Run Full action. So yes you could make it to around where Venkarryn is, or if going straight west roughly in line with were the bush and tree that are partially off map meet (and a little shy of the bush Ialathial was taking cover in recently). There is one DE that is not suppressed that might act against the team instead of the Humans, the one between the raider and the dead venom in the rectangular ruin. Though we could have Venkarryn have a shot at him when he moves, as he has a talent that allows him to move and shoot, if we are concerned about that DE. Akylas
Took a shot at that last dude. Apparently keeping Kelman's legacy of overkilling lone targets. I also believe Enormous is a fitting Size for mounted cavalry… Err... Yes. I am so used to Hordes in the games here in the Nook that it did not occur to me that Hordes did not exist in DH (or RT?) and a DW and DC thing. As horse and rider together are Hulking each the Horde is defiantly Enormous. They were +30 (Massive) at the beginning but the DE have whittled them down to just the +20 to hit. I may once there are less then say 10 Mag (asuming theyhave not fleed) break them into individual Rough Riders. On an average roll that should be a Mag Damage. I forgot to add the +10 for semi-auto so I think it's a safe two hits. Trokair
So there you have it, our little adventure has come to the end of this chapter. I hope you all had fun and that my GMing was not too atrocious. What was supposed to have been a short little game took almost a year, sorry, and real life busyness did attrition several of our players. Such is lot of play by post. Let me know what you thought, how it went and anything else you need to complain about. From my side I think the premade Eldar characters worked, and I hope the limited upgrade options still left you with fair choice and felt like you could make the characters your own. Mazer Rackham
I'd like to be the first to thank our GM for a nice adventure. Playing a female and an Eldar, and a WITCH!! was a real break from my usual fodder of hard-bitten, grizzled unshaven thugs. Thanks for having me, and thanks for your time and effort on this very enjoyable game. A well-run and nicely paced game with some sharp outcomes! I'd also like to compliment my other Players for their excellent posts and narrative interweaving, and good to play with you all again. Special kudos to @Akylas for throwing himself into the fire so well. A fine run in the Nook! Akylas
Thanks for running the game! It was great getting to play with everyone. I liked the premade characters. It made it easy to get straight into the game. A.T.
Thanks for the game. I'm curious if we went wildly off course or managed to go where we were supposed to ? Mike Zulu
Thank you to @Trokair for running this campaign, and to all who joined in. I regret not being able to put more time into it. It was a rare and exciting opportunity to play as an Aspect Warrior, and an eldar no less. When things settle down, I would happily revisit this. The premade characters were great, and given what they are was probably the best way to approach it. Trokair
Good to know that the premade characters worked out so well. Talking of them did the rewards after each segment feel fair and like proper choices that allowed you to lean into how you wanted to play the characters? 11 hours ago, A.T. said: Thanks for the game. I'm curious if we went wildly off course or managed to go where we were supposed to ? Here and there. I had planned for and set up a skirmish with humans at the lake when you first emerged, with a scout sentinel as a mini boss kind of threat. This would have also netted you some information to better follow up on your goal. However as you sneaked away I repositioned the guardian and had the DE hunting party become more active than in the initial plot script, leading to the encounter where the guardian is hunted down but the message gets passed along. In regards to the endgame combat, I had thought you would try and sneak for a few more round to position yourself much closer to the Dracon for a showdown. The bombardment and cavalry arrival were preplanned, but on a random dice roll from start of combat for the artillery and the cavalry arriving d3 turns after that. At least this way the Dracon survived and can come back if there is a follow up game.
