space wolf
So this project is on that will be very long term. One day I hope to have an Iron Warriors army. But I must finish my Void Panthers. In the meantime though as a sort of palette cleanser, Ive constructed the leader of my Warband, Agarax Tull - The Wolf of the Wall, The Siege Breaker, the Left Hand of Perturabo. Using the Saturnine Praetor model, this chonky boy will be my stand-in for abaddon or maybe Lion'el Johnson, should I decide to use the Dark Angels rules for this force. Thoughts? Thanks for looking. Tallarn Commander
A beautiful model! I especially like the wolf on his knee. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/386651-chaos-lord-complete/#findComment-6131343 Share on other sites
space wolf
Thank you! That did take some doing...and i forgot that its not finished! Have to add eyeballs. Anyway I loved the saturnine model, but not necessarilly the saturnine profile. I really wanted to give the feel of some indeterminate type of armor, like he has built and rebuilt his armor over 10000 years of war. space wolf
Thank you! Ill be experimenting with a new way of painting for me, so we'll see how it turns out. I've just started painting my Thundertank Repulsor for the Void Panthers, so this guy is next up on the painting table. space wolf
The "Wolf" stood on the hasty redoubt and gazed across the torn landscape at the Forgeworld Manufactorum Complex. More like a fortress than a factory, its walls were nearly a quarter mile thick of solid steel and rockrete. Crenalations crowned those walls with an entire PDF regiment attached to guard it with anti-air and surface batteries. Finally the complex laid safely beneath a kinetic shield, designed to withstand even orbital bombardment....to penetrate these defenses was considered impenetrable. The "Wolf" however was a specialist in destroying the impenetrable. He was there at the assault on the False Emperor's palace. It was there he earned his name "The Wolf of the Wall." He earned it by, utterly breaking the back of the defenders on the wall in which he and his forces assaulted. He had fought the forces of the Imperium for 10000 years. In that time he had earned other names, "The Siege Breaker," and "The Fist of Perturabo," to name some of the most common. But the one he preferred was his real name, Agarax Tull. And he would raze this factorum to the ground. Tull clicked his vox channel open, "Begin." And a 360 view for those who want one. What a project! Had a blast converting and painting this guy. Really makes me want an army of these guys. Anyway C&C welcome, thanks for looking. Dr_Ruminahui
Love him - particularly the hot metal innards of the hammer, very nicely done. space wolf, Firedrake Cordova and The Pounder 1 1 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/386651-chaos-lord-complete/#findComment-6133326 Share on other sites
space wolf
Thank you! Im pretty proud of that feature. Never painted hot metal before, so it took a bit of experimentation. But I think it worked, since youre mentioning it. The Pounder
Woah!!! Seriously cool and gritty model. Personally I’m hoping you do decide to do a full force of these! space wolf, Dr_Ruminahui and Firedrake Cordova 2 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/386651-chaos-lord-complete/#findComment-6133731 Share on other sites
