Agreed 100%. I've almost finished my Bannanob and Warboss, but still have a Bigboss, Wartrakk and Dakkarig to do. Good thing the vehicles are airbrush-friendly. Even with that, I'm not confident I'll finish in time.

All vows must be completed by midnight September 15, 2026, Pacific Standard Time (so, GMT -8)

 

We are now in the final stretch of the event - this is your last chance for useless stats until the event is all wrapped up!

 

We have 53 participants (up 9 from the last report) with 101 vows (up 16), for a total of 2957 (up 231).  We are still lagging somewhat from last year's totals, when at this point of the event there were 71 participants with 112 vows for 4,167 points.  This makes the average vow size 29 points, with an average of 56 points vowed per participant (from 32 and 54 at the 1/2 way mark).  We have 13 entries (6 in Chaos, 6 in Astartes and 1 in Imperium) into the Master of the Forge category, and 1 for Young Bloods.  If anyone else has a Master of the Forge entry, or wants to participate as a Young Blood, please let me know.  Or, if you told me and I missed recording it, please let me know again. 

 

The Stronghold rankings in terms of vowed points are the same as at 1/2 way, with the Xenos stronghold, with 944 points, Astartes in 2nd with 755.5, Chaos 3rd with 439.5, Imperium nipping at Chaos' heels in 4th with 435 and Heresy 5th with 383.  In terms of participants, they roughly follow vow totals, with Xenos with 22, Astartes 19, Chaos 15, Heresy with 13 and Imperium with 12.

 

All strongholds are now "on the board" in terms of completions, with Astartes is still in the lead with the most completed points at 314.5, Xenos and Imperium swapping places at 239 and 155 respectively, Xenos with 83.5, Chaos with 71 and Heresy with 54.  In terms of completed versus vowed points, Astartes has pulled ahead with 43% to Imperium's is in the lead with 36%, Xenos pulling ahead of Chaos with 25% to 16%, and Heresy just behind Chaos with 14%. 

 

The most points vowed for a subfaction is the Astartes "Astartes" faction, who still have the lead with 389 vowed points, with their Heresy "for the Emperor" cousins now in second with 344 vowed points.  Highest vowed subfactions for Imperium is still Astra Millitarum at 204, Death Guard for Chaos still at 177.5.  Interestingly, the only faction where the highest vows points doesn't also have that stronghold's most painted is Xenos, where Orks only have 31.5 points completed to T'au's 94.5 (with T'au's total vowed points being 119.5).

 

The largest single vow is still the 167 point vow by @lokkorex in the Heresy Stronghold, while @SgtSharp still has the most at 256.5, split between 3 Strongholds.  Vow splitting remains popular, with @Lord_Ikka and @Dr. Clock leading the way with vows in all 5 Strongholds (got to catch them all!), with @Brother Argent having 4 Strongholds, 2 frater have vows in 3 Strongholds, and 11 in 2 Strongholds (in other words, 30% of frater are vowing in more than 1 stronghold, up from 26% at 1/2 way).   @TPS has the most points in completed vows, with 94,5 points completed, all for T'au in Xenos.

 

Highest individually pointed model vowed is worth 20 points, in the form of a Tau Tigershark flier, which has now been completed and looks pretty darn sweet.

 

Anyway, great to see all the participants and their enthusiasm.  Happy painting and I look forward to many more completed vows and beautiful models.  We are in the final stretch, so keep at it and keep those completions coming in - I hope everyone (including me) manages to finish!

As a heads up @Dr_Ruminahui I will state I crashed hard after my Astartes vow. I have been having issues painting my xenos vow and for that I apologize.  I'm going to see what I can do, but it is not looking good.

I actually have vows in five strongholds.  I've completed my Astartes, Imperium and Chaos ones and am just putting the finishing touches on my Xenos one and paitning the last model of my Heresy one.  Hopefully get the last completions up tomorrow.  No where near what I wanted to paint, but its better then previous years...

Whew, pledge complete! Wow, that one came down to the wire. My toddler decided to bless me with Nurgle's Gift a few times there, I definitely overextended a little. Lots of late nights after he went to bed, I definitely don't have time to dress up the bases so black it is.

Come to think of it, I made him and he's usually covered in paint. @Dr_Ruminahui can I claim him as a titan?

Alas I will have to report a failure of my vow, as I won't finish in time. Technically they're all battle ready with 3+ colours but I only fully managed to finish the grots and an example kopter and bike. The remaining bikes and kopters are mostly done but not finishing by the 15th's deadline.
