Influencers have also gotten permission to show off the full KT rules for them:

Yeah - good enough - my plan of 6 Knights and 1 of each character is unchanged.

The Knights seem about on par with Shining Spears; slightly slower/squishier but slightly more flexible with the extra attacks and disengage. So 100-110pts?

The Clanblade looks great, and a Scouting Lone Op is always welcome for action economy... and while I have a hard time putting much value on Ensnarement, the Singer attack profiles alone look like fun for some shooting kick. With luck the characters will be resonably priced given their lack of improved defence vs regular knights, but I expect they'll be 60-75 apiece in any case.

Guys... Exodites. On my Birthday. The Fates have spoke.

Cheers,

I'm sold! The 40k rules are exactly what I hoped they'd be in terns of speed and offence. I do wish the shields granted some defensive buff though as a 4+ save will make me sweat (I've been a power armour fan boy for a long time).

I have to be sensible so will only have the kill team characters to begin with but as soon as possible I will be trying to get a full three squads of 6 knights plus support characters. Add in a few rangers, corsairs and something to melt monsters and vehicles and I think I'll have my first ever xenos army!

I must admit that this is a very interresting set of rules. Split of characters as individual units is what was missing in many KT transpositions such as corsaire not to pin any specific boxed set:biggrin:

and these dragoons will be punchy enough to make some HtH aspect warriors looping full. Just have to wait for the points.

But I guess these rules nail it

So leystalker gets its own dragon puppies?

Thats cool.

I mean people are constantly saying mobility wins games. So -2” to movement is a pretty significant mobility debuff. Especially for units with only 5” moves.

Sure... it might do something, but as it only affects monster/vehicle, most likely it's making a 10" into an 8", and given you need to be 18" away to use it in the first place it's not enough to reliably keep you safe. From time to time it's going to keep a big gribbly out of your face, but it's a pretty niche ability. If it's just a 40/50 point guy I'll be happy to take him, but any more is questionable.

I read it as non-monster/vehicle like most of their other stuff

I am really liking the look of the Leystalker as a utility piece. Lone Op, Infiltrate 9", Stealth and a decently potent sniper rifle makes him look very useful. T5 also means he is tough enough to not die instantly to a single volley of bolter fire if the enemy gets fed up of him.

Price will determine whether he is playable. If he comes in at under 100 points, I think he can find a place in plenty of lists.

Yea it's just the poison breath that gives him a role into anything not monster/vehicle... I don't know I've ever seen a data-sheet with both anti-monster/vehicle AND anti-non-monster/vehicle... and I don't know if I've ever seen a non-random Torrent weapon either! It's a scattered data-sheet to be sure...

Huh, this is cool. Templates for building your own Exodite Terrain. More of this, James.

This sort of thing should be a weekly release.
