brother_gabriel
cool stuff. however i don't think the model screams "chaplain"... more like black painted SHP because of the LCs and the lack of skull mask. Chaplain Osiris
...took a number of shortcuts painting them -I didn't even highlight my bolters. umm... dude, you said you spen like three hours on each model, if your gonna spend that much time you may as well do it properly. they're still freakin' awsome though! the only problem I have is chaplain#2's grail looks weird, and how is he gonna attack with that arm? Koyote
Here's a few more pics of my Chaplain. Initially I had planned a head swap for this model, but when the new Cassius model was released, I liked the look, so the head remained. Like Cassius, my Chaplain has taken a lot of abuse over the years so I thought that a more 'augmented/repaired' look was apropos. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/10011970/C3.jpg In this pic you can see part of the Chaplain's skull revealed as well as more of the piping and wires. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/10011970/C4.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/70248-task-force-armageddon/page/3/#findComment-809197 Share on other sites
Lancivus 13
Just a quick "?" for you Mr. Koyote, Wylie J. ;) How did you paint the tabbard on your chaplain? I have tried to get the same effect but cannot pull off the smooth blending of the white and undercoating of brown. And what shade of white is that? Skull, Bleached? Koyote
I don't know if an overall army pic will be that spectacular. How about some squad pics instead? This is my 10 marine Devastator squad (9th squad). These guys do the shoot'n. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/10011970/devsq1.jpg These guys carry the extra ammo and for some inexplicable reason, always seem to die first. ;) http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/10011970/devsq2.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/70248-task-force-armageddon/page/3/#findComment-812683 Share on other sites

Koyote
OMG: The sergeant has just detected infiltrating Wolf Scouts sneaking up behind the Devastators and he's yelling at me, "Why don't you arm me with a power weapon instead of this stupid auspex?!?! This always happens when we fight Space Wolves!" ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/70248-task-force-armageddon/page/3/#findComment-812732 Share on other sites

Lancivus 13
Actually, isn't your sgt yelling at your Devies to get back behind that cover they just left after Blood Ragin' for the 6th consecutive turn? ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/70248-task-force-armageddon/page/3/#findComment-813172 Share on other sites
Koyote
Actually, isn't your sgt yelling at your Devies to get back behind that cover they just left after Blood Ragin' for the 6th consecutive turn? Maybe so. Instead of blasting the heretics with their missile launchers my Devastators 'raged' on the last turn of game 5. This cost me the game and was responsible for my only loss at the GT this year. ;) Oh well. There is always LA... :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/70248-task-force-armageddon/page/3/#findComment-813213 Share on other sites

Lancivus 13
Or was it the "composition" of the raging units you had that led to your poor showing in Seattle????? Sorry, couldn't help myself. Koyote
Or was it the "composition" of the raging units you had that led to your poor showing in Seattle????? Now that is just mean... But hey, what are friends for? Actually, my post was lamenting my win/loss record, not my overall score, but thanks for reminding me. *Hmmm? There doesn't seem to be an emoticon giving the finger. Koyote
My Blood Angel Scouts are the only squad in my army that does not belong to the Third Company. Please excuse the poor photo quality. This is my 10 marine Scout squad. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/10011970/scsq1.jpg Yes, I know I used the scout sergeant model twice, but I dig the model. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/10011970/scsq2.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/70248-task-force-armageddon/page/3/#findComment-814014 Share on other sites

Koyote
And here we have one of my 'shooty' Tactical squads (6th squad). http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/10011970/6thsq.jpg Sadly, as my good friend Lance pointed out my comp score wasn't so great in the GT so I have plans to replace this Tactical squad, my Scout squad and my Attack Bikes with two Baal Predators and two Land Speeders in an attempt to make my 'all infantry' army appear like a more typical Blood Angel army (i.e. mobile firepower). I may also toss the grail. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/70248-task-force-armageddon/page/3/#findComment-814035 Share on other sites

Koyote
And here we have my 10 marine assault squad in its entirety. All but two of the marines in this squad have hand painted squad badges (8th squad). http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/10011970/asq1.jpg If I had to remake this squad from scratch, I would be more mindful of the poses and mix in a few standing legs to depict models landing or preparing to jump. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/10011970/asq2.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/70248-task-force-armageddon/page/3/#findComment-814674 Share on other sites
Koyote
This is one of my two, 10 marine "tactical" Tactical squads (2nd squad). In some of my squads I skimped a bit on the squad badges as the 'greaved' legs make painting squad badges more difficult. I did however hand paint the skulls on four squad members of this squad with knee pads. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/10011970/2ndsq2.jpg I feel that the multi-melta & melta gun combo is a very flexible and hard hitting combo. The lighting in this photo makes the multi-melta look much darker than it really is. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/10011970/2ndsq1.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/70248-task-force-armageddon/page/3/#findComment-814725 Share on other sites
