Dont folly the goodness with TT rules. They belong elsewhere, in the Homebrew rules section. How does the chapter deal with space marines that might have latent psyker abilities? Do they kill them outright, send them on a penance crusade all by their lonesome, hand them over to the inquisition to try and score brownie points, or let them stay and tell them not to use their powers ala Nikea?
-
Because there is no reason to avoid it. You state they have a homeworld so any recruits would come from that, the fighting companies wouldn't need to train their own. I know the Steel Templars are called the Steel Templars, but its obvious you just want to make the BT and slap a different name on them. Calling your chapter the Templars is evidence of this, having them trained by the BT (which the high lords would not approve of) is evidence of this. Saying they have companies, but have more than usual for no reason is evidence of this. The High Lords dont make chapters in honour of someone. Not when they don't particularly like the chapter from whom the brother fell. I have a distinct feeling my opinions are falling on deaf ears. Good luck with the IA. Maybe this guide will help.

That just begs the question why the Black Templars were chosen instead of a codex compliant chapter. The Black Templars are not exactly held in high esteem, partly for obscuring their numbers. It just sounds like you want to make the Black Templars 2.0 but don't give plausible reasons for their inception, they were even called just "Templars" at one point. Having a vote not end in a draw can only be a good thing. There is no reason I can find why they are structured with 6 companies over 5 without sounding like you just intentionally wanted them to be different, Including naming two chapters which I don't believe they have ever met, but mention they don't like them. I have to admit that I like the name Steel Templars, but I think the IA needs a bit more work.
-
If they're rarely at full strength then why have they gone out the way to disregard the codex only to adopt a new command structure that could cause conflict with the inquisition only to not use said structure. Since the fighting companies are similar then why not just have 5?
-
Your chapter has at least 1200 brothers across the 6 companies + whatever the 7th has. Why would the inquisition allow such power to be in the hands of a single newly founded chapter. They are not a crusading chapter either, having a homeworld, so they would not so easily hide their numbers from the gazing eyes of the inquisition. Its also best to post your lists in the lists forum and your pics in the pics forum. The Liber is for fluffy fluffed fluff. (Or lore to you and me lol ;) )

Cormac Airt, I understand your intentions and I agree with them, but how it is phrased (the law is very pedantic) allows anyone to claim anything that has been posted for this project. Some people don't have an issue with that as you can see from the submissions, but I've been stung before and prefer to err on the side on caution. I'm not an artist (although technically I am) or an author, but I am a programmer so the equivalent would be the GPL licence with copyleft that allows anyone to modify the work providing they do not claim it as there own etc.

Yes that it what I was referring to. I did write a lot more but my browser deleted it, so I deleted the extension that caused it. So to some up. Of course is it. That is why I'm posting on a forum, not in my private diary. "Public domain" does not mean free reign. They take you're work and post it on their site or publish it in a book/magazine. I thought the simpler answer is not to give everyone free reign to your work. I should note that Cormac Art did not say "public domain" and so to me sounds like he included it for the sake of it, even though what I suspect were his intentions would be covered by the general board rules, and yet the implications could be dire. FYI everything Messor said is incorrect, you own the work you create, even if it's on the internet.

I was eager to participate until I read that the creator needs to relinquish all rights to their contributions. Why would anyone create something that anyone else would then be able to profit from it, either monetary or otherwise.

I ike it but there's a few things I'm not sure about. That seems a rather obscure way of saying they were more independent than their brethren firstly because I seriously doubt a battle borther is capable of enjoying anything and secondly because chapters are vastly more independent than any other imperial organisation, expept perhaps the inquisition, but more so because "abnormal" implies a deficiency. Also Space Marines are usually given authority in any situation so that seems redundant. You could say something along the lines of "their authority was favoured by Imperial forces due to the low number of losses on campaigns and crusades waged." or something. So the chapter was aware of this "cancer" but did not act on it? Where were the chaplains when this civil war broke out, you mention librarians but no chaplains. I think if you remove the "over-all" the context will change to mean that the chapter first became aware of this corruption. That is too long winded before your point comes across, it's like you got sidetracked and then remembered what you were writing. I was wrecking my brain trying to work out how a company can be commandeered, then I realized he commandeered company and chapter vessels, or, commandeered companies' and chapter's vessels. The last one doesn't really roll off the tongue. The commandeered vessels are under the command of the traitors right? If so then why did they suddenly decide that a coo was against their vows, they already killed the chapter master. Huh? so the former champion kills his own commander, who is the corrupt first company captain, which quells the rebellion and then he makes a break for it? I would praise him as he just slew the warlord, albeit a very short reign. What reason did he have for doing such a thing, doesn't sound like it was for the best if he couldn't stick around for long. The Dark Angels have been doing this for over 10,000 years and haven't had much look. You only mention two companies, is the third "standard" and non specailized? If the chapter forbidden to recruit then what was the need in a scout company? You say the chapter reformed itself into three ad hoc formations but I only count two. One grand captain commanding 4 companies and another just one. So each grand company has at is disposal 100 veterans. That makes 300 veterans in total for your chapter. What makes them so special. Sorry for the wall o' text. It seems line breaks are beyond the editors comprehension.

Deathwatch: Your Experiences with Apothecaries?

How did your game go A D-B? Need anymore advice? -
The ultramarines Omega symbol is not lucky, nor does it have anything to do with Omega. Taking a symbol and making it your own is not an original idea, just look at Hitler.

there was no emoticon for this so... So although the Black Rage is inevitable in older marines, they not only have a full 1st company but also have an abundance of experienced marines who can use the TDA in the second company. And then decided that the rest of the chapter is also able to be trained into one giant first company that can all use TDA. I really like the intro but the Combat Doctrine/Organization part was really urm...
