The Siege is just becoming more confusing with each book. Is Pert really doing that? Giving up?

The Lamenters and Sly Marbo vs. Snikrot. Both rejected. While other garbage is green lit. I have to hand it to GW. Just when I think I've found the bottom, they dig deeper. -
Which BL works describe SM speed/strength in PA

I remember something like that from the Night Lords Trilogy. Talos and friends were fighting a Warhound Titan. In the last book, he rips the front of a bridge officer's skull off. Edit- Book 3 - Chapter IX No one had even seen him move, such was the prophet’s speed, clearing ten metres and vaulting a console table in the time it took a human heart to beat once. Edit #2- Book 1 - Chapter XII Talos was the first. Aurum crackled with energy in his fist before a single slash carved a malicious streak through the armour and engineering of the Titan’s ankle. Even one-handed, the blow would have felled a tree or carved a mortal in half. Talos’s own gene-enhanced strength, amplified tenfold by the artificial muscle fibre of his war-plate, was the pinnacle of mankind’s genetic manipulation coupled with some of the Machine Cult’s closest-guarded secrets rediscovered from the Dark Age of Technology. -

Siege of Terra - Saturnine by Dan Abnett

Would Curze having real-time foresight count in The Unremembered Empire? It's certainly a twist on a character trait. Before that, it was just horrible visions of the future. But it doesn't seem to work when Vulkan is involved. I guess really big hammers are Konrad's kryptonite. -

I wouldn't mind Haley writing some more Ork stories. He's about the only one at BL that has. -
Until proven otherwise, I am of the belief that was Omegon in a wig.

"But this craving for it above all else is a toxic attitude, not just to the way we talk about pieces of media from a critical perspective, but in fan circles as well." "It predicates the gatekeeping act of being a fan that is built on how much you know about a thing over whether you actually enjoy that thing or not." "Valuing the sterile facts of those stories more than the things about them that make us think or feel is a sad thing indeed." This kind of attitude is what's toxic and has destroyed some very big franchises. Canon? Who cares! It felt good! If you don't know anything about a series, it makes it easier for garbage to be shoved into it. Feelings before setting, how I hate thee. ....... Then I look at this guy's Twitter. "Fanboys really wanted TLJ Luke to be the fantasised badass hero of their dreams, but in many ways he was simply their reality: alone, despondent, and snottily yelling about sacred texts" That's not "toxic" at all.........

How does this change the timeline for the Unification Wars? It was said to last centuries. Longer even, than the Great Crusade.

The Minotaurs are fleet-based. They are the attack dogs of the High Lords. And they are as likable as Marines Malevolent. Being the High Lords attack dogs gave them the first pick of gear. Not many Chapters have Contemptor Dreadnoughts. It's not surprising they would run back to Terra. -
I have heard some interesting things about the equipment the First has.

Thanks for the fuller context of what went on. I was under the impression that it was Pert who was the driving force of that. I remember the loud angry noises when The Master of Mankind was freshly released. Most who were finally able to read the book liked it, I certainly did. Abnett could spend 18 hours a day on forums trying to explain the context, those who are angry about any change to how they see the Emperor, will stay mad no matter what. -

It's the impact his stories have. The Alpha Legion, Space Wolves, Ultramarines, Imperium Secundus. They all started with "I have an idea for a story". In my mind, I can still see Guilliman standing on the bridge of Macragge's Honour taking notes by hand on everything he can see in Calth's orbit. That's the One Ring of power that Abnett has. And it works.
