    In Fenrisian myth, the Fire Wolf burns without being consumed.  Some whisper Kjarl Grimblood bears a gift; that he can see visions in the fire of war.  The Wolf Lord and his packs have not been seen on Fenris in a long time, as they burn a trial of destuction through endless warbands of equally savage Orks.

  12. Dusk Wolves

    Little is known following the death of several Wolf Lords who continued the Ironwolves in the wake of Egil Ironwolf's demise at the hands of traitor Primarch Magnus the Red during the Siege of the Fenris system.  Following the deaths of his predecessors Orvan Highfell, in the skies above the Fall of Cadia, and Vorek Gnarlfist, Torval Wyrdbane has been elected Wolf Lord of the 8th Great Company and has taken the sigil of the Spirit Wolf to denote his renamed great company, the Dusk Wolves.
     
    The spirit wolf is believed to guard the souls of the dead, yet its sigil has since come to be seen as an ill omen.  It now servces as the sigil of Torval Wyrdbane, successor to Vorek Gnarlfist -- 10ed Codex

    Harald Deathwolf takes the symbol of the Ravening Jaw, icon of the Wolftime - when Morkai will eat the sun and eternal night will shroud the stars. Harald himself rides to war upon Icetooth, a great grey Thunderwolf.  He is the chapters foremost hunter, for his senses are so sharp he can smell fear.  Harald's Great Company includes a host of lupine beasts, be they flesh and blood or cybernetic constructs.

    Bran Redmaw's personal icon is the Bloodied Hunter and his company's savagery is legend.  Some say the Curse of the Wulfen runs deep within their ranks.  Bran has been seen to attack with a howling pack of wulfen, and sometimes even succumbs to the Canix Helix himself in battle.  Yet his warriors are also cunning; the Wolf Lord's numerous Grey Hunters often lie in wait to the foe's rear after the fury of Bran's frontal attack forces their enemy's retreat. -- 9ed Codex
