  1. Quadruple post but last, and certainly not least, we have a friend tagging it along with the warband; Khorne’s bestest boi, angriest of them all, Mr Khârn the Betrayer. As I hope is obvious, I based him on Mark Gibbons famous 2nd edition artwork, where Khârn is bellowing in bloodlust to his patron, atop a mound of mangled corpses, which happens to be my all time favourite 40k artwork. That’s it for now, hope you like and if you do stay tuned for more. Cheers Midnight
  2. The Red Butchers Next up, my Berzerkers so far. As you can see, these have a very much ‘late heresy’ look to them. The next batch are based on the newer kit. Sneak preview with the Champion and Eviscerator wielding dude.
  3. Next up we have the warbands second in command, and most trusted ally to the War Bastard - the Butcherlord; Khargor Bane and his cohort of (magnetized) Red Butchers. Close ups also of champions Skorge the Slayer and Bullous Hellmaw, also magnetised.
  4. Hail Fraters! After a bit of a hiatus from the board I am back with what is my current project, my Skull Reavers, which as you may have guessed from the title, are a World Eater warband. A fledgling, stop/start side project so far, I am hoping to build a mighty Slaughterhost capable of bringing entire systems to its knees! First up, every army needs a leader, and the Skull Reavers are no different being led by a mighty ascended champion of Khorne; The Fell Reaver, anointed of the Blood God, Master of the Eight Plains, the Bloodied Wing, Despot of the mighty Skull Reavers - a beast of many names and titles but known much more simply to his allies and his foes as the War Bastard. Lord of the Skull Reavers; formerly Dhosun Ghôrne, a Centurion of the World Eaters 48th Company during the Horus Heresy now achieve apothesis climbing to the apex of the Dark Gods servants.
  5. A tragic loss to the community, who’s passion for the hobby as a whole will be greatly missed. He inspired many, achieved much and was a fantastic person - a true hobby veteran. Rest in peace IP
  6. Some great ideas here, thank you very much all. I am afraid I am quite unfamiliar with GW range I think nowadays unless they are wearing some sort of power armour! I will be sure to keep you posted - keep an eye out on the wip forum in the near future :tu: :tu:
  7. Some cracking ideas here guys to get my teeth into, many thanks! I like the idea of the wounded Cadian and also the Dead Walkers - I haven’t seen either of them before. I think a kit bash is definitely on the cards. Unfortunately the mancrusher villager is a bit to ‘runaway!’ for this, though I really like the model and I reckon I will have to use that at some point to!
  8. The only problem with that is I want to be able to use it for in store GW comps etc so it has to be one of theirs. Villagers is a good idea, I will see if they have made something similar over the years :tu:
  9. @ Firedrake Cordova - I will have a proper skim through the range, there has been that much released of recent I fear I have lost track! @ excelite - I will! Suffice to say it is going to be using the Heresy Loken/Abaddon dual base and I am going to be having two options; a fancy chaos possessed against a Flesh Eater Captain set in 40k and the Ultramarine successor against a Flesh Eater Death Co in M33 (where the Ultramarine successors are actually deemed the bad guys! Just caught in the wrong place at the wrong time!)
  10. He does look pretty cool! I am after somebody who looks a bit more scared - he looks to relaxed for what I am after, like he is the ordering the marine to do his bidding! The idea is I am going to build a diorama at the end of a battle where a heroic marine of Ultramarine geneseed is making a desperate last stand against a Flesh Eater Death Company mad man. Thank you though :tu: :tu:
  11. Thanks for the fast reply man, the genestealer magos straight away speaks to me. I will straight off go and check out some size comparisons. Ideally, I want them to be mounted on the same 50mm base :tu:
  12. Greetings! I am after an imperial civilian model that will be standing under the protection of a Primaris sized astartes (well, actually a converted plague marine to good guy), after something of fairly small scale. The said model will be standing behind his protector in the face of a foe. What have you guys used in the past, or do you have any ideas? Must be a games workshop model however! Many thanks! Midnight :)
  13. Many thanks for the kind words guys, it is much appreciated. I am really enjoying this squad, they take up an awful lot of time to paint and convert - little details like the said knee swap to really give them a feeling of ‘one off artificer armour’ That being said, I appear to have forgot to post number 2! Another highly converted member of the squad - Some details - More soon, I am about 80% done on number 3 Cheers! :)

Some of my favourite stuff to date, some finished some not so finished!
  15. @apologist - thank you for the very kind words mate. This has been an excellent project to be part of; it has really got the creative juices flowing in both converting, painting and of course writing! Some of the works from other guys has been sublime and truly inspiring. Each member of each faction are truly labours of love :)
