So I got the "Know no Fear" starter set, and I had this vision that I should do the Plague marines as that they came from the Iron Warriors chapter. I am wondering what else I should do to with them, and just to be clear, I am not going to do hazard stripes, as I suck at free handing. 1. Do they look like they are IW and not DG? 2. The lords smoke is grey atm, but should I go a more sickly green? 3. The lords cloak is red atm, but I am thinking go another colour, if so what should be good colour 4. Shall I rustyfie them even more or can they get to busy. They are in no way done, there is quite a lot of work to be done, I can see some errors and such which will be cleaned up, the lords stomach ache is not done and so are not the squished nurglings under his foot.. A 3,000 point Iron warrior list. Fluff wise it's a force dedicated to assaulting fortresses. Praetor hangs out with the Calix, magos hangs out with Cavas, Siege breaker hangs out with tyrants. Apothecaries with two tac squads and Iron havocs. List should be pretty tough, but I suspect WS5, 2+/4++ Elite melee will give me trouble. Ok so I am going to get me a knight, but I have problems with what colours it will have. The fluff behind it is that is a Dreadblade who has sworn servitude to the Iron Warriors millennia ago. Will Knights who have been part of an Chaos army start follow the colour scheme of the rest of the army, or do they keep some of their original colours. My knowledge of Knights is not the best. My plan for my army is to have three detachements in the future, One knight, one pure Iron warriors, and then my Nurglified Iron warriors with Death guard rules. I think the DG models are really cool and fun to paint. My IW will be the traditional colours, steel and and gold with chevrons as much as I can muster to do. My Dg are a bit more dirty, rusty and mutated,as you can see in the link I provided below. What are your thoughts on a Chaos knight, its own colours, traditional IW or the sort of rusty and worn look my Plague Marines have, with a hint of IW. The knight will probably not have any rules for allegiance to any special god, do they have it? Hey guys. So I've been working on a little Iron warriors project. been wanting to do it for years and finally have the chance to. So without further ado here are the toys so far. The photos aren't great. I'll work on that. MK4 tactical squad. Cataphractii sergeant Techmarine The techmarine will be painted for the next installment for the tale, possibly along with some mk3 marines. C&C's welcome of course.
