Kromlech - Stygian Torsos The link for these can be found here. For these I used the cheapest postage available; I was told they were dispatched but had no way of tracking them. They arrived after a week (Poland to the UK). One box, tapped up to ensure it arrived: Safely packed: On to the models, there's some flash as expected with resin but no bubbles or warping. Detail is crisp: Front: Back Originally I had one concern and that was with the torso on the right hand side. It is joined to the "sprue" at the collar and I thought I would have to reshape it, but looking at the display picture, it's supposed to be bent: The sash join looks easy to sort out too. All the other joins are in places easy to conceal and smooth, so no concerns there either. Would definitely use Kromlech again.

Inspired by a discussion regarding the Space Wolves in other parts of the forum where I gave the opinion that the SW, both in 40k and 30k, are really only Viking-ish when it comes to their internal nomenclature and some of their names. Both regarding their looks and warfare are they much more fantasy barbarians and totem-warriors than anything Viking-ish. So I was wondering if you wanted to do a viking-ish SW (or other chapter) force, where could you get bits?And I mean here by viking-ish inspired by the real stuff from the Viking Age not pop-cultural viking stuff that don't have historical basis*. That means that Kromlech's Sons of Thor bits or THE CUSTOM BIT's "Vikings" don't count since they are fantasy barbarians- and/or totem-warrior-ish much more than viking. * I would say that stuff inspiered by the Vendel Period and Kievan Rus' is also of interest. -
Kromlech - Legionary Plasma Cannon The link for these can be found here. For these I used the cheapest postage available; I was told they were dispatched but had no way of tracking them. They arrived after a week (Poland to the UK). These were a gift from a friend of mine so I can't comment on any delivery time or packaging. As they are in blister format, I gather they were acquired from an independent stockist (feel free to let me know in the replies and I'll update). Blister: On to the models, there's some flash as expected with resin but no bubbles or warping. Detail is crisp: Front: Back: Note the lack of backpack. IMO these fit better with either 30k models (well, it is the Legionary line after all) or second edition models. That said, it shouldn't be too hard to source a back pack...? Anyway, on to the dryfit. The model used is a third edition metal Death Company model. It's held together with blu-tac. The design has little lugs for the handle to sit on the cannon and the load baring arm to attach which makes a snug fit once the flash, etc, is removed. Finally, we have a comparison picture of Kromlech's offering placed alongside some of GW's. Have to say, I am becoming a fan of Kromlech

Kromlech - Imperial Battle Ruler, Orange The link for these can be found here. In addition to Imperial (Imperium) there are also versions for all the major Factions in 40k: Chaos (Chaos), Avatar (Eldar), Immortal Legions (Necrons), Swarm (Tyranids), Enclave (Tau Empire), and Orc (Orks). They are also available in green and all of the above can be found following the link for Gaming Accessories. Once again the cheapest postage was used and it took just over a week from dispatch to arrive (Poland to UK). No way to track it though... One box (note that this was taped up around the edges to ensure it stayed shut): Safely packed: And bagged: Front view: Dimensions added in black. All the useful sizes includes (they are also printed on the ruler). Each notch is also 1". Side view: About as thick as the current green templates, etc. Same material: i.e. hard plastic, doesn't bend. .. and there you have it. Looking forward to using it in my next game (as we're always misplacing the tap measures).- 5 replies

Puppetswar - Frag Launchers The link for these can be found here and they come as a pair. On their website they say it can take up to twelve days to dispatch but mine took sixteen days... this followed a three day period waiting to ship, followed by a four day period in transit (only one option to select which was Poczta Polska and this cost the same amount as the item in question...) Package arrived in a padded envelope: With the item nestled inside some tapped up bubblewrap: With the items being loose inside a bag: The weapons in question look very neat, although there is some flash to remove from the back of the weapon. There are also two magnet holes in the top (not pictured but can be seen on the website link above). I'd likely use them again, but would rather make a larger order to make the most of the postage.

Has anyone tried Spellcrow's Guard/Scout heads on Space Marine Scouts? Either of these sets: Guards \ Scouts Heads Guards \ Scouts Heads with Long Hair I am tempted to get a set of these to blend the new(er) plastic scouts with the old metal ones. I was also planning on using Tempestus Scion Helmeted heads for Scouts too, but now I'm tempted by these Puppets War heads: Ranger Heads Mercenary Heads Anyone have any experience with either?
