Bit of a preface, I’ve been collecting Horus heresy for a long time. As seen here; it has grown somewhat since 2017 and I stopped posting because work blocked access, which was my only computer at the time. Since then I’ve had two kids and although my free time has been Reduced it didn’t stop me collecting ultramarines and thousand sons. I had an excellent campaign which followed the prospero black book which I will show here. It involved all the major engagements from the book. however my first love is the sons of Horus and the events on Istvaan III, so kids willing I can get the campaign going soon and play ˋCometh the Red Angelˋ. In which Angron defies Horus and makes plantfall to assault the loyalists. hopefully this will be more interesting to people on here and get feedback rather than nothing on instagram. heres some later sons of Horus.

I'm aware that I am by no means the only person on the forum right now who is both hyped for Heresy 2.0 and keen to motivate myself to power through a backlog before the new stuff lands. I've also been in a bit of a hobby bare patch and for quite a while have been thinking of setting up a little, semi-narrative project log to help motivate me and share some of the substandard background material I've written for my Ultramarines. I currently have a few thousand points of XIII Legion and allied Imperial Army in various stages of completion, with vague plans to include some Sisters of Silence & Custodes that I have sat in a box somewhere. You can see some more of all my hobby stuff over on Instagram but to get this thread rolling, here is the last character I finished. I decided to start a new thread to help motivate myself into working on this little project. The idea was to build an infantry-focused army, using the Pride of the Legion rite of war, of Ultramarines. The army is being made with custom bits to make them A) look more romanized, and B) make them more true-scale. As a result, the average height puts their eyeline roughly the same, to +2mm higher than a standard Primaris Intercessor, for an idea on scale. The project will consist of the following army list as a roadmap for what i'm going to make. after it's built, ill probably add more content to give me options to vary up the list as time goes on. The paint scheme i'm following is based off the trailer with the ultramarines cataphractii terminators fighting the word bearers. i really liked the strip of white armour plate around the leg, so i wanted to recreate that over as much of the army as possible, since its not something you associate with the 40k version of the army's paint scheme.
