Howdy folks! Long story short, I am back in the Loyalist boat. I have some spiffy yellow marines painted up, and more on the way. I am still deciding on a chapter symbol, and you can find a chapter summary in The Liber. I am focusing on production, and as such have made the conscious effort to not paint every little detail. It suits me: I know I can do some good paintwork, and probably will put the extra effort on characters, but squads are all about cohesion. I am simply numbering squads as I paint them. First up: Intercessors with stalker bolt rifles. Five man currently, probably shore them up to ten man later on.

Iv'e been watching with Interest the new Contrast paint and weighing up what to actually use it with i.e. balancing speed with production and quality ... Ork Boyz was the main idea from this ...i have not started my ork army propa due to this daunting task... getting the basic troops done is probably the biggest hurdle for an Ork player since the rest of the models are sooo fun to paint it's easy to pump out some cool vehicles etc ... I was thinking they will have an Ork type skin colour and the black looks dark grey to me (which i don't mind their pants being that colour) and there's most likely a nice couple of browns for leather in there too...the only standard paints would be leadbelcher and maybe some kid of brass/gold for ammo feeds and bionics etc... This will speed things up immensely for ork boyz.... thoughts?, idea's?... Cheers, Mithril
