The GUO itself has been Epic to paint, THe intestines are now finished you can tell the first couple pix are older and towards the bottom are the newest.

The GUO is a real beauty, especially the back. How do you plan on doing the sword? As for the Marines, the torsos look too slender in my opinion, but I'll wait and see what they look like with shoulderpads before I decide whether I like them or not. The painting however, is cool.

That GUO is seriously messed up! Excellent job, the sores on the back look really paintful and the red is blended into the green briliantly. Can't fault it to be honest, it's really nasty (in a good way ;) ).

In defence of the DG I've used the same technique myself in the past. Trouble with DG is that everyone thinks of them as being bloated where it's just as plausible for them to be wasting away and the gasmasks adds to the trench warfare feel of the DG. :)

yea dude to be honest im sick of hte bloated DG especially GWs new take on them with those damned metal marines they have of em. The armor and just overall feel is lame. BUt thanks everyone for the compliments i really appreciate it, i should have some more pix of my lord within the hour i just have to get him onto his legs.

This post is gunna require some backstory, (I've been sick today) so I look at the GD and became physically ill (seriously), the flesh and color just looked so putrid. In all my 4 years of hobby this is what I believe to be the true embodiment of Nurgle. /yuck

heres more WIP of the GUO, his wounds are done and wet. thats what im trying to convey. A very nasty gross look, i want the skin to be flat but hte wounds to be glossy.

The spines alos done.

and as for my lord, i duno what weapons he will have but as for crap on his armor im thinking of some chains and a few dangling heads. nothing to busy i want to keep him kinda plain.

My 4 gods that is some beautiful work, the sores truely have that "in the process of sweet mortification" look to them, the blending of the skin is flawless. The plague marines are excellent, i've always prefered the gasmasks (my favourite look for DG).

How on earth did you do the rust on the plague sword, it actually looks like it has the build up of flakes that real rusted metal has. perfect. :)
