I have been bewitched by the look, feel, and flavor of the Dark Angels. Nasse
Name: For all intents and purposes, call me Nasse. Age: 20 Country: Finland Occupation: army cook, student Time spent in hobby: 5 years, on and off Armies collected: Bretonnia, Dark Eldar, Tau, Dark Angels Make your mark: I've always, somewhere deep inside me, wanted an imperial army. This is it, I fell in love with the idea of an all terminator army with the previous codex, but never managed to muster up the courage, money and time to take the plunge. Now the new codex and DV pushed me over the edge. Currently doing my conscription, so my hobby-time is extremely limited. I had played only a few sparse games of 40k over that time but always as the xeno. I secretly knew though that I liked something about the Dark Angels. Their methods appealed to me. I told myself that when the day comes that DA get a 6E release I'll start collecting. And oh behold, I was spending money sooner than I expected to! rpnightsend
Huh. Well I just returned to the hobby after a year in college, so I guess its time to reintroduce myself: Name: Rpnightsend (or RP usually, also my initials) Age:19 Country/State: Massachusetts or Connecticut (The former when in school) Occupation: I.T. Guy at an Insurance Agency Time in Hobby: Too long. About 9 years now? Armies Collected: Space Marines, Dark Angels, Orks, A bit of Sisters/Inquisitors and Guard (I love me my Imperium) and Wood Elves in Fantasy Make Your Mark: I joined the boys in Green when my obsession for terminators and motorcycles was no longer adaquately sated by the Vanilla Marines codex. I also loved their lore. In addition to 40k I'm also a semi-professional League of Legends player Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/103088-unforgiven-but-not-unknown/page/23/#findComment-3362755 Share on other sites

Brother Brucey
Name: Brother BruceyAge: 31Country/State: FinlandOccupation: JournalistTime spent in hobby: About 15 yearsArmies collected: Orks (from the start), Tomb Kings (~7 years), Lizardmen (3 years), DA (about a year). Several gangs and warbands for Necromunda and Mordheim, Eldar in Epic.Make your mark: I started buying Dark Angels when I heard the rumors they might be in the 6th edition starter. I also figured they would get a new codex pretty soon, so I left my models half-assembled and unpainted while I played with the old codex. I'm just now starting to paint the models, and found out I really hate painting black. I have 4 speeders, 10 Black Knights and around 25 bikes to do. D'oh. I loved the fluff, the artwork and the grimdark atmosphere. But coming from a religious family, it was a closeted obsession. Fast forward to fall 2012, I saw and bought both Assault on Black Reach and Dark Vengeance Special Edition. Dark Angel fluff is the amazing, easily becoming the only SM chapter I can truly admire Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/103088-unforgiven-but-not-unknown/page/23/#findComment-3375333 Share on other sites
cypherkk
Name: cypherkk Age: USA, IDAHO, N. Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa Occupation: Transportation Time spent in hobby: since 1993 Armies collected: Dark Angels 3x, every other army besides Nids. BFG fully painted DA, BA fleets, Hugeamongous dark Eldar fleet, and sizeable necron fleet. Blood bowl 40 miners dwarf team, and green grave packers undead. No fantasy armies any more, though I still have a couple mordheim teams. Make your mark: it's not easy being green! Currently I'm playing Orks mostly since getting back into in 40k in 5th. I added some Necron Allies to then when 6th came out since I live their new fluff. Though it's me 2nd Necron army. Started DA when the new Dec came out because of the new models. I hate the new fluff, I prefer the old uncertain motivations and uncertainty which side is the actual traitor rather than the current secret incompetence fluff.... I used to be a major tourny guy. From 3rd till I quit in late 4th, I won pretty much every tourny I entered even if it was only best sportsman or some things like that. I started getting that way in 5th again,But it's not what I'm wanting to do, I'm looking for more fluff, flavor and campaigns. I'd really like to try some narrative events so I've stopped attending tournaments. Brother Eleysium
Name: Jeremiah Age: 27 Terran years old Country/State: United States Roanoke Virginia Occupation: Business Management Time spent in hobby: I've been playing and reading 40K novels for 11 years Armies collected: Dark Angels, Crimson Fists, Skull Bearers, Black Legion, Death Guard Make your mark: I started playing 40K when a friend of mine, that I played Mechwarrior Dark Age(the clix game by wizkids) with introduced me to 40K. He and I were both tired of using the same units week in and week out. And we were really longing for some customization. He took me to a local shop, showed me some stuff and within a week I ordered a Chaos Mega Force. After learning the rules and understanding the universe a little better, I picked up the Dark Angels add on Codex for Space Marines, immediately fell in love with the first Legion, and I've been playing them ever since. I'm currently building a whole new DA army and I'm dying to finish them and play 6th edition.
