I wish they did but saddly no. Based on the originals that I worked from try as I might I couldn't get it to work. Lots of circles in a grid would have been about the closest I could get.

Here are some more letters along w/more crushed Ultra gear:

27/58 models on complete. -OMG

I wish the pics had turned out better. One of these days I'm going to get a light box.

Well gents; here’s the sad truth of it. This is the last weekend on my self imposed deadline and I’m far from finished. Here’s the standing:

*The Masque - 100 pts (100% done)

Skulltaker on juggernaut - 175 pts (25% done)

*Herald of Slaanesh w/soporific musk on chariot - 75 pts (15% done)

Bloodcrushers x4 - 180 pts (joined by Skulltaker) (40% done)

*Daemonettes x10 w/Icon of Chaos and Instrument of Chaos - 170 pts (95% done)

*Daemonettes x10 w/Icon of Chaos and Instrument of Chaos - 170 pts (30% done)

Bloodletters x8 w/Instrument of Chaos - 133 pts (100% done)

Bloodletters x8 w/Instrument of Chaos - 133 pts (100% done)

Bloodletters x8 w/Instrument of Chaos - 133 pts (90% done)

*Soulgrinder w/Phlegm cannon - 160 pts (40% done)

*Soulgrinder w/Phlegm cannon - 160 pts

Soulgrinder w/Phlegm cannon - 160 pts

I bought the last bits I needed for both SG conversions last night and I’m at least 90% happy with my Slaanesh Herald on Chariot conversion. So now to find the time.

If you’ve read my blog at all I’ve been doing some smack talk with other B&C’er who’s working up an Ultra’s army. We decided to culminate these threads into a battle w/pics a report & the whole bit. That game is now scheduled to be played on Oct. 25th. So that’s now the new fall-back date.

That’s still only three more weeks but I’m going to again make the attempt. So a new line is drawn. A Daemon army in 85 days; and counting.

More pics soon.

It's ok, you did a much better job painting and in a quicker time than I would have. If you didn't spend the time on the bases, conversions, excellent paint jobs, you would have finished in time for sure, but that's what made this thread worth coming to! :D

Great work and I have confidence you'll be done in 3 more weeks. Now stop chattin' and git on paintin'!

Yeh no biggie that you didn't make the date, the title was cool and all but probably not that important :P

The final battle report will make up for it anyway heh, looking forward to that. This is all coming along really nicely man, hope you find the motivation and time to keep pushing forward and make your next deadline ^_^

Still making head way:

Here’s my official response to the Ultramarine’s request to meet on the field of honour:

Also, I wanted to take a pic of all the completed bloodletters at once. gallery_15218_2494_295117.jpg

It’s going to be SoulGrinder conversion weekend so I hope to have more pics along the way.

Do my eyes decieve me? I count 24 bloodletters... and if they are as you say "completed" then you can edit your post and make it say 100% complete for the last squad that still says 90% :tu:

They look positively terrifying.

-edit-

Ah you updated your first post, not this most recent, upon second look the most recent was a tally of what you had finished at the time of your goal... sorry for the confusion.

Is that the codex astartest flopped on the ground next to that ultra smurf helm?! Perfect, that's where it belongs!

Only one SG left to convert...

Does this game against the smurfs include painting and conversion scores? because if it does you just got an auto-win. :)

Really nice job, sad you didn't make a WIP thread on this model, would have been interesting.

Thanks brothers.

It's really more of a kit bash then a conversion. The only Green Stuff (so far) is where the harvester cannon meets the tail. Otherwise, Soul Grinder + a few Defiler parts + the top 1/2 of a Keeper of Secrets + the corpses from the Vampire Counts Corps Cart & you're good to go.

I'd be happy to go over it in more detail if you'd like. -OMG

Great job so far.

About the Soulgrinder, I find the join between the torso and machine to look too flimsy and unnatural (even for a daemon).

May I suggest a piece of GS cloth (scarf-like?) tied around it's waist?

It would keep with the slaanesh theme and hide the uneven join.

Just my 2 Kraks.

BL1: Blood for the blood god!

BL2: Skulls for the skull throne!!!

BL3: Not in the face! Not in the face!

BL1 & BL2: (in unison) Ummm, Lacks force chum…

Yeah, that work is outstanding. Actually; a wrap would be both fashionable and practical. Better than the maligned musculature that you find on the original model.

More on that soon. Thanks for the idea. -OMG

So here’s the last of the 3 Grinders:

And all of them together:

That just leaves the Slaaneshi chariot which at least is starting to come together.

As stated in my blog, battle report w/pics coming up after a game this Saturday.

More soon. -OMG
