ODM,

Superlative work there brother! A question:

1) On your FoR, are the walls thick enough/ durable enough to partially drill and shape some battle damage into them? (i.e. bolter fire and the like?)

I also like your scout storm and individual models. Your work is great and I'm surprised it is produced so quickly! Currently I'm painting my WH army (love Nuns with Guns :P) and it's like the Eternal Quest...

(also: First Post! WOOT!)

The walls certainly could take battle damage. it's ver solid. Glad you like the army. It certainly is an etenal ust for me too. I've been on this for the last 4 years, and that was after a 3 years DA army that I sold to start over. Good luck with the sisters.

Here's the final version of the Typhoon. Finished the highlighting and added the campaign badge to the tail spoiler.

Then I decided to repaint my Ravenwing banner. It looks a little sketchy this close in the pic, but on the table it looks pretty good.

Here's the update on the bikers. The Sgt and the bikes are done (except for the grass), and the other two bikers themselves just need their armor edges to be highlighted.

And here's a shot of my display case, just for GP. The top left shelf is drop pods and dreads, top right Ravenwing, the middle shelf is the rest of my DA, and the bottom shelf the remainder of my IG and my Brettonians.

I now offically feel your pain.. quite litterally even.

I am assempling 3 drop pods (Birthday money) and I have a slightly damaged thumb. I plan on nicking a bit of the looks you achieved with your pods earlier in the topic.

And I must say, impressive display cabinet full there.

Good luck on the pods! I had to pull out a huge amount of discipline to paint three at once, but it's great to have them once they're done.

Just for my information (I have black pod parts at home now, so ready to start painting)

You use skull white as a base, wash with flesh wash or sepia ?

Then paint up the surfaces with bleached bone (leaving the recesses) and highlight edges with skull white again?

On your metal you use base black, boltgun metal, armour wash (Or now badab black wash) then highlight with Boltgun metal or mithril silver?

I'm going for a differengt highlight on the black though.

Just cutting those pods is an effort to do in bulk, especially the 5 bars on the sides, they have a mold line all the way around, which takes forever to clean up Specialy when you are doing 3 at a time.
