Thanks. Really appreciate the kind words!

No problem! :HQ:

For the standard I will probably free hand one on the banner in the Command Squad box.

Nice! That will look REALLY good. I have an idea of what I want to do for a FT Chapter banner, I know that you are pretty handy with Green Stuff and converting, and could probhably pull it off, so I will share it with you. My idea is to scrape off the scorpion from the Sevrin Loth FW banner and add FT symbols with either the FW brass or GS. I don't have the Sevrin Loth set yet, so I am not sure how plausable this conversion is, but I thought you may be able to use it for inspiration if nothing else ;) .

I was wondering if you have a Jump pack list in mind for using your VGVets and counts as Dente with yet? I would love to see it if you do. What's the next project for your FTs ?

That is possible. You could scrape off the scorpions easy enough and then very carefully recover the lost detail with thin layers of green stuff. Dunno about putting FW brass on there as it would be too stiff to make fit properly on the flowing banner.

Not really looked at doing an all Jump Pack list as I think they are pretty ass. I will end up with 2 10 man JP units though both with Power Fist and 2 Meltaguns. I've got some VGV and an Honour Guard so I guess I could do an all JP army if it came down to it.

I would like to do a JP Librarian as well eventually.

Always good to see really nicely converted armies on the fourms :P Will you be attending Throne of Skulls GT with the Blood Angels after missing out last year with your Grey Knights force??

I would like to do a JP Librarian as well eventually.

If you have the Forge World Red Scorpian Librarian, he look pretty cool with the Angels wings & jump pack from the Sanguinary Guard set. Also just all round brilliant model & since you use a fair bit of FW items already :) There barely any Red Scorpain icon (if you not already got him) apart from a shoulder pad which it not attach to the arm/add any shoulder pad you wish.

But again really enjoy look through this topic & remind me why I join fourms, to see really nicely converted armies.

Nah Throne of Skulls sold out WAY too quickly this year. I was pretty disappointed. The new format is a real failure, if it was made to get more people going.

Yeh I am looking at Sevrin Loth now. He'd fit pretty well with the rest of my force which has a lot of older marks of armour too. I had intended on just keeping him and not using him for this force as I think I have already spent a small fortune on it all together!

On another note, I was really thinking of starting up a business building bespoke 1500pt armies for people. Competitive lists in a box. The full hog, bought, converted, painted and sent out in a custom carry case to take to tournaments. I can build stuff super quickly. Just need to work on the painting techniques to get them looking really great on the tabletop, but not take ages to do. It would come at a premium price, but I am sure it is something that would be of interest to a couple of people.

I saw some really good models painted using an airbrush on the Space Wolf forums around a year ago which really inspired me. I am gonna try and do something like that as my next project. Speed painted, competitive build, looks good enough to win prizes and plays hard enough to win trophies. Then fling it up on eBay to promote the company.

Although, from the grey and silver legions on my blog page so far you will see that I haven't got round to the painting side of the hobby again yet!

Predators....

I am back and building. Haven't touched a file or a pin vice in anger in months. By necessity I need to get this army finished now so I can actually take it to tournaments so next update will include some paint! Finally!

Anyway here's my magnetized Baal., and a cameo from my hybrid Predator

I pre-ordered 3 Ravens and the Dreadnought, but one of those will be painted silver.

I'll slap some plasticard on the cockpit to seal it up as well I think. Needs Extra Armour added.

For any FT players who have access to it, Humbrol do an acrylic hobby spray, the crimson is a perfect colour match

Drat! It can only be shipped in the UK! I hate painting and am really terrible at it! I was hoping to have found an easy way to get my flesh tearers painted. :P

Where did you find that axe? It's fantastic!

It a FW red scorpian Honour Guard axe. You could also check out the Sanguinary Guards though it will be in the right hand.

On another note, any chance of a step by step on the running Dreadnought :P

I like starting out and building models for other people first.... because I can :) up and learn from my mistakes lol

Magnetizing the doors/Hurricane Bolters is a bit of an issue because there is nothing in the 'doorway' like there is on the Rhino hull to mount the magnets on, so I will need to use a flat panel of plasticard to mount the magnets on because otherwise the bond is flimsy and they can break off.It is also easiest to do this before you assemble the Hull. So I will be going through this as a step by step on Monday/Tuesday when I have the plasticard sheets to hand.

At the moment on this test model I am using bits of sprue to mount the magnets like so:

I'll just mount a sheet of plasticard to cover up the whole doorway from the inside instead when I build the next one.
