Next is a new character I made after ToS - a Lord in PA with a Power Sword or Daemon Sword (need build him a bionic lower left arm to replace the blue-tac :()

I've also done a little bit to Aruken (added skulls & detail to his Maul/Hammer) who will become my Company's Dark Apsotle (if the romours are true that the new Chaos dex will have rules for them. Also not sure if he will be a Word Bearer Ally or a corrupted IW Chaplain)

Well with the new CSM Codex around the corner (hopefully), I decided ity was time to update my IW Blog ;) Also I entered ToS back in April, so I painted 1,500 of these guys to a basic gaming standard with quite a bit of help from RebG, and some from Nurglez and Mr impy the day before ToS while at warhammer world(as I didn't have much time due to switching from using my Dark Mech allies as they were taking way way too long).

 

Fixed that for ya ;)

Very, very nice minis! I was starting to drift away from my IWs but after seeing your minis I'm pretty torn... :D

Goreal is a total boss and the company champion is pretty amazing. I'd suggest angling the servo arm with the combi melt back just a little bit. It would help make the arm look a little less static ;)

 

Ps. I'm looking forward to seeing your Vindicator painted up.

@ kizzdougs - you should defo carry on with your IWs, they are awesome ;) As for Vokran's combi-melta arm, its only blue-taced on at the moment, so I can change the positioning, need to add an IW shoulder pad & some grenades still too. The vindi still needs some work, as I dont use it in games much (I need a second 1)

 

Gonna be getting the Chaos stuff from Dark Vengeance next week, so gonna convert the lord to a Sorcerer. The chosen will be made to look less corrupted (as IWs aren't as corrupted as most of the other legions) The cultists will get head & weapon swaps, so no 2 look the same & the Hellbrute will become something top secret :P

Im actually back to my chaos aswell at the moment since 6th ed came out, Done a demon Prince & Contemptor for my WOrldEaters and now starting on an Alpha Legion squad as some troops for the zerkers. As i feel funny holding obj's with them lol

Wow, after having seen the new toys us spikey boys will be getting, I am 1 very happy Warsmith :D I'm looking to get the Warpsmith, a Forgefiend (I want to make this look more possessed like the soulgrinder), a Maulerfiend (want to make this guy look less like a Zoid and more like a Blood Slaughterer). Also 10 Raptors and a Helldrake (not sure how I want this to look yet).

 

Also I have jsut gotten the Chaos DV stuff as an early birthday present, so expect to see some of that stuff up at some point :)

CALL OF CHAOS V - November Update #1

 

Hey guys, well here is my first update of the call :huh: I've decided to enter a squad of 5 Raptors & a Forgefiend that I got for my birthday :(

 

So first up is the Raptors almost ready for paint, just need to add some extra detail. Then I shall get on with my Forgefiend and paint everything in 1 go.

CALL OF CHAOS V - November Update #2

@ Reyner - Yeah the Raptors are lovely to put together, very cool how they have done the feet/claws & the jump packs.

 

@ forte - I totally agree, I actually wanna make some Slaaneshi Warp Talons (I know poeople think they are a bit pricey, but they do have an Inv save & lightning Claws) at some point and use some parts for Noise Marines

 

Anyways with further-a-do, heres my second update... not done as much as I would have liked, but real life has been busy as usual, plus I have been doing a painting for my girlfriend's birthday, which she loved :D

 

No paint as of yet (like I said I wanna paint everything in one go & I'm still building the Forgefiend), but what I have done is sculpt some Iron Warrior Icons onto some of the guys

 

The Icon Terrel's Left shoulder pad has been sculpted to look like its also a speaker vent, I also added some extra trim to his jump pack.

Scourge has pretty much stayed the same, just a minor adjustment on his left shoulder pad (I will paint him a custom IW Icon) where as Cyclonus has had a big IW icon sclupted on his right greave (will look less scruffy once hes painted)

Talous has an IW Icon sculpted on his right knee & Vos has one on his Harness Clip

I'm really happy how the Icons turned out as its the first piece of sculpting I've done in a while.

 

Now on to the progress of my Forgefiend - Doom Stalker. I'm a bit stuck on this guy, as I'm trying to scratch build a head for him to make it look more unique, was thinking of an enlarged Defiler head or a Daemonic face, anyone got some suggestions?
