I agree that it seems very astartes... and i don't really like it, its like a mini van with those wings you put on kids at the pool.

Honestly though, GW probably leaked it to cause hype.

How do you mean? Give people a glimpse to test their reaction and see if they like the look or not? Do you think they might have other concept designs they might switch to if the current one is unpopular?

That Stormraven is TERRIBLE!

Looks like it's a Koyote-Pattern Stormraven for me. :P

Bleh.

Dont like this at all :P What a pity.

Sadly, I am forced to agree with Morticon. :P This kit looks awful... :P :P

Yeh its........not what I was expecting.

Its growing on me, and I'm betting it'll look good from atleast one angle, but yeh kindof looks like a Smart car or one of those little Suzuki "super carry" vans from this viewpoint. Almost like a caricature drawing of a plane

Feels a bit like the new fire prism design, kindof came out of nowhere. But I grew to really like the fire prism and I felt the same when I first saw it as I do now.

I'll admit that at first I thought it looked a bit weird, but it's starting to grow on me. It looks different to the Thunderhawk, which I think in the long run is a good thing. They are different crafts and as such should look different enough.

So yeah, I'm buying two. Also I hope that Dread in the background means we are getting some proper Close Combat Dread kit! :P

When I first saw it, all I could do was envision it painted like a big fat bumblebee. :( Another example of something that doesn't look like it can fly.

In all honesty though, I'll probably get one and explore some modding options. It makes more sense to use it, rather than a Valk as a basis for a SR kitbash.

And I'm stoked about the Dread in the background as well. Here's hoping it isn't a trick of out-of-focus light and shadow.

It looks completely unfit to fly in atmosphere, let alone land on anything not a runway. If it had vector engines on the front half in addition to the wings, it could conceivably work... mind you, LR and Rhino chassis are pretty ridiculous for their roles with their lack of ground clearance and suspension... so it's completely in keeping with the 'aesthetic'.

*minor face-palm*

Edit: Hmm... maybe it has jets under the cargo pod... but I wouldn't want them touching the ground.

This, this is what the official Stormraven model should be, not that... tub with wings.
