Might take a while, I'm in school ATM and once I get home it could take a while to explain the lesser chapters in terms a Templar could understand.

You know you're a Black Templar when crossing the boarder to Canada to play 40k with some friends up there, and are asked by the boarder police, "What's your reason for visiting Canada?" you reply, "To slay some heretics."

P.S. Never do that...

You know you're a Black Templar when you have the balls to do this!

How about saying "I'm not accountable to the Inquisition"? :P

You know your a Black Templar when...

...you look at Emma Watson and all you can think is 'Burn Witch!'

...When you train at the gym to Dream Evils Dragonslayer because the lyrics are basically a Templar battle anthem 'We are the holy ones! We sacrafice out blood! We kill for honour!'

...you look at Emma Watson and all you can think is 'Burn Witch!'

I can honestly say in the last few years I've never thought that about her :-p

Especially given my user name. . .

WITCHWITCHWITCHBURNBURNBURN!!!
To be fair, he DID join the Inquisition when he came of age.

Still doesn't change the fact that he should be careful around us. We still have Bolts and strength in our arms for them when they eventually fall.

I can honestly say in the last few years I've never thought that about her :-p

It is a true test of faith brother. My ex used to make me watch the Harry Potter films and all I could think was 'Just one drop pod is all it would take. Have as many living statues as you like!' haha I have the opposite problem brother having picked a name entirely in latin haha It's actually an ammended Knights Templar battle cry.

I now have a vision in my head of a battle brother saying 'expelliarmus this' as a bolter round blows the head off one of the witches ...

But to know thine enemy I read Harry dresden novels

Dream Evil are a fantastic band, but isn't that song "The Chosen Ones"?  Always thought that would make a great anthem for the Blades from the Elder Scrolls games.

"The God-Emperor Wills It!", I believe?  I know it's INCREDIBLY nit-picky of me, but don't Astartes follow the Imperial Truth, rather than the Imperial Creed?  Still a cool name, though...

You know either way one of us is about to get smote for our lack of knowledge on the subject matter but I though the Imperial Truth all but died at the end of the Heresy. Some Astartes are less religious than others, I seem to remember a line from one of the books where a Marine tells a guardsman something along the lines of 'the Emperor is only a god because you are weak and need him to be' it think it was maybe in Son's of Dorn but im not sure, but they do follow the Imperial Creed. Chaplins are recognised members of the Ecclesiarchy after all. That's how Grimaldus gets the Titan leigio to fight for Helsreach wasn't it? She says something along the lines of 'the Emperor isn't the Ommnisiah' and the he tells her shes just voiced a heresey in the presence of a member of the Ecclesiarchy.

You know you're a Black Templar when: You play Skyrim using a Heavy Armor Greatsword swinging Breton and hunt witches to such great length the game itself hurls Necromancers and other witches at you in every. Single. Cave!

That and you enchant every piece of armor you have just so you can call it: The Armour of Faith! (that and add extra Magic resistance: Current record is 82% by the way :tongue.: )

Extra BT Skyrim fun: Join the Imperial Legion (duh) to defeat the Traitors! Everything you fight falls under one of the following categories: Traitor, Witch, Xenos.

Breton's are the magical sensative human characters :p I do agree with you however I can improve on this; You know you're a Black Templar when every character I build in any RPG is always a heavily armoured dark haired warrior named Sigismund, you out and out refuse to use magic or magic users and when you are forced to you despise them (this made completeing Dragon Age 2 neigh on impossible) and as you fight you are thinking or actively speaking battle hymns or declarations of faith.

Bretons have 25% Magic Resistance.(It represents Abhor the Witch!) Not using Magic is a choice. And even if I did use 'magic' I'd call it "Blessings of the Emperor".

Playing RPG's BT style is fun. Every time you encounter a creature you yell: "Suffer not the Unclean to live!",

Great fun when there's other people playing in the same room. :wink.:

I however have played the 'Space Marine' online game modes Crusader style, (naturally using the Black Templar skin) playing a tactical marine with nothing but the Bolt Pistol and the Serrated Combat Knife, all the while shouting various Templar quotes. Definitely recommended for the Exterminatus game mode (first Arena only.)

I am still thinking of going back to Fallout 3, and play the Anchorage DLC to get the 'Power sword' (kinda) and strap on some Enclave Power armour and presto! Instant Templar! (I play PS3, so no 40K mods for me  )

The Winterised TB-102 (I think is its name) is more like marine armour as it has the curved pauldrons I just wish you could change the colour scheme of the armours. You know your a Black Templar when you search for the most tedious link to power armour or weapons in any game you play...

If you play on the PC, there is in fact a mod for Skyrim that will add Black Templar-style armor (very well-done) and generic Space Marine weapons to the Ebony smithing section of the game.  I don't have a link directly to it, though.
