When you test run an Imperial Knight Crusader and have it only manage to kill some summoned Tzeentch flamers before getting locked in combat with some Demonettes. Meanwhile...

Your Marshal (CM with +1 WS/A warlord trait) with Thunder Hammer and Shield Eternal with Vanguard Veterans and Grimaldus (with servitors because we ruled them how they should be) smash a DP on turn two earning first blood, then smash another one on turn 3 when the book fails him even with Fateweaver re-roll, and then proceed to rip apart a squad of pink horrors before facing a squad of demonettes that are all that remain of the enemy. While all that was happening a single Crusader squad lead by a Sword brother catch, challenge, and kill Fateweaver who had landed to grab an objective.

The Demon players dice rolled poorly, the Templars didn't show any mercy. I would've tabled him if we had time to actually finish the game.

Yep, the cavalry guy from SigMarines :biggrin.: I even gave a bike base to the monster so that he can be my Chapter Master on a Bike :tongue.: I think I will paint them as Hammers of Dorn, black with gold/brass detailing, due to the iconography present. I will give them some Crusade Crosses from the cooperation with the Templars, as I usually do.

Also made a Chaplain, please don't mind the skirt-bit for the Crozius, I ran out of the Aquila ones and still I think it works nicely :biggrin.:

And he has THIS in his hand. Doesn't it TOTALLY look like he has got Helbrecht's relics in there? :biggrin.::biggrin.::biggrin.:

Hmmm I actually like that idea, was it converting them into marine proper? Are they snap fit like regular fantasy models?

Yeah, I'm making them into marines. They are slightly more like TrueScale, you can use the larger three for Termies and the smaller 10 for PA Marines. They are more like the complex snapfits like the newer hero range and the complex models from Dark Vengeance. Computer-designed and cut into pieces to come together nicely with added detail surfaces because of that.

I just realised it's been almost ten years since the Chapter Upgrade kit, Sword Brethren and so on came out. Given how dated some stuff is looking I think an update is due. c:

Khorne still need an update for Khârn & the Berserkers, though.

You know your a black templar when you become the guy that people give their old land raiders on ebay. I've already went from one crusader to three and I've got more bidding to do. LRC SPAM AHOY!!!!!

This is how I got most of mine.

I bought one from the store, and the other three were all second hand, I just had to add some Templar bits. This is also how I got my Storm Raven, which is a flying Land Raider.

When you find reasons to fit 5 hqs into a Gladius with a Land Raider spearhead.

When you throw your hqs and an honor guard squad headlong into multiple Dark Angel squads firing full BS overwatch, and win.

You consider the game a victory after both enemy psykers lay dead, which was turn two. (Eldar and DA)

When your EC slays the filthy witch Ezekial with a 6, in the first round.

When the only reason the EC didn't get the first psyker kill was because of an over zealous dreadnought.

When you consider two games where you actually lost by 1 VP to actually be crushing victories because in one of them you decimated your opponent's army(including a filthy witch) with 3 LRC's full of HG, Crusaders and Grimaldus, and in the other the EC and his crusader squad made an epic 10" charge and he then proceeded to slay the filthy xenos psyker HQ.

I'm confused, how can one be 'over' zealous?

Is this like the word overkill I keep hearing?

Which makes me think of another.

When you love the 7th edition challenge rules that allow you to kill an enemy character so hard that several of his squad mates die as well
