Maybe some of you still remember me... [rage mod on]Did you see those sneak pics? I think, GW _FAILED_. A little child screams and cries inside me: "Return me old raptors! Return me old warsmith! Give me classic infernal villians!". Seriously, new miniatures are creepy. High-detailed creepy stuff back from 2nd edition. No, I have nothing against old school, it's really cool, but only when it's done well. And these are really creepy.[/rage mod off] That's because I'm back with my Night Lords. I already thought to try out Chaos Warriors in WHFB, but I already have 4 armies: Night Lords, orks, then Lizardmen in FB and PanOc in Infinity. So the fifth army, which is btw got much in common with one of my own, is a bit overkill. As you understand, I don't like coming models at all. The boxes contain interesting bits for sure, but overall - I don't like it. I'm pretty sure there is people, who will agree with me. So I want to try to come back with my original concept "Good old dark'n'bloody traitors" and introduce my own vision of CSM. I will try my bests to build a grim army of maniacs right from the abyss, I will provide all my skills and ideas. And also I have some interesting concepts since last time, that I can just realize in the future. Though there is some stuff to finish right now, so I believe I need to start with a little training. So, today I'm just informing you guys, that some cool stuff is on the line. I just need to find all the random bits that lie in the boxes and gather all of my soldiers. No new stuff, just informing you. If you like it - that's a bunch of motivation you gave me ^_^ btw what about 18th company? Â noctus cornix, Tanith Ghost Speaking of coming model range and new csm models generally. So, I like models from DV box: chosen are awesome, lord is awesome, hellbrute is awesome. Cultists are piece of [censored], but I can deal with it. And I would like to see all new models designed in that direction: some kindly references to good'ol 2nd/3rd ed in the design, but overall based on present style, like metal raptors or IW warsmith. And for what I've seen - new raptors are just heavy-mutated regular guys with two big turbines on the back, stolen from some poor Boeing. WAT? Don't get me wrong - models are awesome, but only IF they were new POSSESSED or CHOSEN (or possessed chosen, as an option). And for Heldrake and other creepy-crapy monsters... if I need it, I will completely redesign it. They just don't tend to be infernal Daemon Machines right from the Warp as I'd like them to see. Thinking of kitbashing the heads and possibly some of their weapon arms with regular CSM. Although they are just too mutated for me, so I will use bits from it for possessed marines only. Inquisitor Xenthor I used 'corvus' type helmet from tactical sm box, and yes, it's just shaved and improved with GS a little bit, to make it look cooler. Unfortunately I don't have any WIP shots of it now - but I can photograph this marine close for you, if you want ;) .  AVE DOMINUS NOX, ladies and gentlemen! :)  So, how do you feel about new models? That's not what I want CSM to look like, although I accept models are normal in term of performance (is that the word?) - pretty high-detailed, well-done. So I took my turn and build my own models. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.  My next works are: Atramentar, my approach on Obliterators (don't like the very idea of rough mixing flesh and metal, so they will be completely different), second incarnation for Inpu and, finally, Azanael. And I don't speak about veterans (which, I foresee, will be pretty useless now), metal termi-lord and daemon prince which are on they way for painting. But I'm back to study next week, so I believe there won't be that much time to spend on miniatures, so updates may be not so frequent.  P.S.: I beg your pardon for crapy photos as well.
