Hahaha brilliant! That guy was originally gonna be one of the crew in the head but I couldn't fit them in comfortably without rebuilding the whole head.....again!!

I forgot to show the pics of Warpsmith Zephon with 3 of his 4 fancy mech arms working.

Yeah, well, there I was all proud of my own Knight pilot, and then you go and just throw together that awesome servitor. Amazing job and way to demoralise a fellow World Eater, buddy

Glad to see the Gorehound back in business -- although I have to say that I still need to get used to the much more angular shoulders. The area seems much cleaner now, which is definitely a plus, but it seems so different. Also, is that the Baneblade commander up top? Shoot, I should have gone through with my original nagging to have you send him to me

I really miss that stylised maw from the Ogre Kingdoms on the Gorehound's head, btw, and hope you will add it back in!

Oh, and Warsmith Zephon has certainly come into his own since we last saw him: The model is simply brilliant, buddy! Thumbs up!

Either your current outburst of creativity has something to do with your joy at the prospect of parenthood, or it's due to you finally wearing the brand of the dark gods on your flesh

Krautscientist, The aim was never to demoralise you. Ha, I've been toying with the idea of adding a crew to the head for ages but couldn't come up with a configuration I was happy with. I think mainly because I wanted an Astartes crew. After reading Betrayer though and then seeing your awesome take on a knight pilot I was struck with the idea of using the top turret from the Storm Raven as the basis for the control throne. As for the Baneblade commander I'd completely forgotten you were after him. I have a few of them now for some reason so I'll try and send you a couple over. Anything else you're looking for you have my contact details :D

Grizzly mate, it's taken me two years to just build the Titan to this point. Khorne only knows how long it'll take me to paint it hahaha. As for the Champion fear not. You will see him once the Alpha Brute and Oblits are finished as I plan on finishing up the third Zerker squad. ;)

Thanks for the comments on the Oblits guys. I'll have more pics when I work on them again. For now I have picked up the Gorehound again. Just messing around with a few bits. Looking to add a cockpit, mine only has a single pilot in the head down to space and I'll just explain away that the rest of the crew are in the main torso. I don't think the chain blade is gonna cut it I just thought it could have been a good stand in if I did want to run it as a Knight.

Anyway onto the pics.

First off my newest tattoo on my right calf. :smile.:

My flesh was a willing sacrifice haha.

Now I've started adding a few bits and pieces to the Gorehound, I still have a lot of trimming/sanding/filing before I can even think about paint but to see it taking it's almost final form is very rewarding to me. Like I said before this has been a labour of love/hate. It's been rebuilt more times than I care to remember after various accidents or me simply changing my mind.

Here's how it stands just now.

The back I still need to trim The Lord of Skulls bits to fit on the rear of the shoulders and fill a few gaps. Not big jobs, just ones I haven't gotten around to you yet. :)

I also made a quick WIP for a new Skull Champ who if I ever play him will run as a Lord in PA. This guy will be Lord Deimos Headtaker known only as 'The Grizzly'. This guy was built to return the favour of our very own Rob aka Dorns_fist. He made an awesome Mk6 Vet and named him after myself a while back and I've been meaning to return the favour ever since. Like everything in my life though I'll get to it 'eventually' I haven't sorted out the full backstory for him yet but as soon as I do you will be the first to hear/read it. :D

Glad you like him. As I said just returning the honour. This is basically just a rough proof of concept of you will. This is the pose he'll more than likely be in but the pads and backpack will be changed and possibly the legs for some raptor ones like on Varrus KinSlayer.

Have it ! I've no real use for it, bar a Rhino roof as a possibility, but it's too narrow I think. Measures 44x71x10, with a slight slope to the end edges, and has some nubbins on the flipside. PM if you want it fired out, and if I'm stuck for a bit or two, you owe me. Enough Khorne goodies in the order for now (bar a Skullcrusher Champ head, but I found that elsewhere).  :smile.:

I know it'd probably get moderated/abused to oblivion, but a sub-thread for tiny/obscure bits requests only (no selling/sales/mah eeebaahh) could work well ? Idea comes from a gaming forum I frequent where we offload old stuff purely on charity, P+P met by sender etc. Ever been tried ?

I'll send you a pm and if I get anything I think youay find useful when my bits bundle arrives I can forward them on or as you say I'll owe you. I've worked on a similar system with Krautscientist and others on other forums. Like you say though if it was set as a thing on here it may well be abused. Dakka has a recommended seller/trader thread that used to work fairly well, if you had traded with someone you left a recommendation.

Yay! With the Ogre maw added back in, the Gorehound's head looks 100% more awesome! It's also great to see how the whole build has become smoother and more accomplished. Amazing job! I especially love that crossbones freehand on the shoulder banner ;)

A second look at the cockpit made me realise that you could actually free up quite a bit of room if you were to lose the front third of that Storm Raven (?) console. I made you a crude mockup:

http://eternalhunt.files.wordpress.com/2014/07/gorehound_cockpit_mockup.jpg

I think this could really free up the room needed to add a gunner or even something like a Titan Princeps?!

I also really love the new champ: I had always wondered whether those decorative skulls from the Skull Cannon would be useable as Marine helmets -- leave it to Biohazard to find stuff like that out ;)

Anyway, awesome work, as usual! Keep this coming!

Thanks for the comment on the cockpit mate, that's something I'll definitely look at. As for the banner it was included in a trade with some really poorly painted skeletons a while back. Just looking for ways to fill that gap. I just got a bits box from eBay delivered and it's chock full of banners and other interesting bits. When I finish work I'll sort through and see if there's anything useful in it.

As for the skull cannon bits I've had them sitting for a while trying to build up the courage to start that conversion so I'm rather happy that it's working so far

KrautScientist has already answered my question about where that skull-face comes from. It looks excellent, in fact there's not really anything else to say about what's on this page. It all looks excellent (including your personal art). What are you planning on putting n the Warpsmith's fourth servo arm?

Buddy, your updates never fail to amaze! Brilliant! :)

Gorehound:

It's hard to imagine that this thing can yet get anymore awesome, but it gets better and better with every update. The exhausts do seem slightly strange, if only because they seem pointed the wrong way ;) Maybe you should have some cabling running from them to the rest of the torso? Not sure? Anyway, if you wanted to add real smokestacks somewhere, I imagine either the braziers from the warshrine and/or the smokestacks from the fiend kit would be awesome!

The one area of the model where it seems like you're not quite sure what you're doing is the pelvis area and the banner there: Having the banner held in place by those hooks from the vehicle kits is a brilliant touch! But is there a reason why you used the banner the wrong way around? The detail on the front would look cooler actually facing the front, if you ask me. The daemon-like mask bit from the chariot on top of the banner doesn't work, in my opinion: It seems far too stylised for the rather feral, barbarian look of the banner. And those skulls you added are just hanging too straight downwards, killing all dynamism.

If this sounds like an enormous piece of critcism, don't worry -- it's not: It's just because that area is so obviously letting down the amazing rest of the model.

Oh, and I'd gladly send you a pair of kneeling Cadian legs if you need them!

Typhus:

Another one of your brilliant and deceptively simple kitbashes! This guy is already looking great! Will he be a World Eater (a counts as Typhus) or the genuine article, though? If it's the former, the choice of head is brilliant (there's just something about those Skullcrusher heads with the bunny ears cut off and Terminator armour that WORKS), if it's the latter, I think you could make a pretty much perfect Typhus head from a GK Termie head and a horn ;)

Anyway, great stuff, as always!

Paladin, that's exactly what I was gonna do but couldn't find it on any of my usual bits stores.

Kraut, your package should be with you in the next couple of days if not tomorrow. :)

As for the banner the only reason it's hanging that way was for the movement implied by the pose. I do have an alternate banner (from the Skullcrushers) but it looks a little feeble next to this one. I was planning on adding the fur on this side with GS, as for the face at the top that was just a little experiment. ;) also those skulls were following the flow of the banner but due to being held on with blu tack dropped while I was taking the pics. Cadian legs would be very much appreciated actually! As would any other spare IG bits you have I can use for trophies or base details. :D

Onto Typhus, I mostly built him just for fun. I may use him as part of my WE or I may build a small DG force, I have a Dread and a HQ so all I need now is a load of plague zombies and a squad of plague marines :) I wasn't intending to build a direct copy of the GW model more I wanted to create something fairly wysiwyg as I did with Varrus KinSlayer (Khârn)
